I ALMOST DIDN’T GO…

The minute I saw the email about this retreat, I knew it was meant for me.

I knew I would gain so much from being there. I knew that if I want to create transformational spaces for other women, I have to be willing to keep investing in myself too.

I’ve attended many of Amy’s Amy Ormston ceremonies, been on retreat with her in Bali and invested in several of her programmes.

Why do I keep investing?

Because every time I do, I grow.

Personally. Spiritually. Emotionally. And in my business.

But this time, a part of me really didn’t want to go.

Because I knew what was waiting for me on the other side.

I would have to face the things that were still holding me back.

I knew this retreat would challenge me to step into the next version of myself to stop hiding, fully own my leadership and finally bring to life something I’ve been working on for the past two years…

And then I realised something.

I’ve been here before.

There was a time when I had to make exactly the same decision with my body and my weight.

I tried the diets.
I had bariatric surgery.
I tried the injections.
I tried changing what I ate and what I did.

But none of those things could do the deepest work for me.

Eventually, I had to become brave enough to turn towards the things I had spent years trying to escape from.

The pain.
The emotional eating.
The self-sabotage.
The parts of myself I had rejected.
The experiences I had buried rather than healed.

I had to look at my past through more mature eyes, understand what had shaped me and learn to meet those parts of myself with love instead of shame.

That work isn’t easy.

Looking at why you overeat, why you reach for food when you’re overwhelmed, and why you keep returning to patterns you desperately want to change takes courage.

But I also know what can exist on the other side.

Freedom.

And that is why I continue to do my own work.

Because I never want to ask another woman to go somewhere I haven’t been willing to go myself.

I have lived this journey.

And now I get to use everything I have learnt to guide other women through their own with compassion, absolutely no judgement and so much love.

The Body Liberation Method is coming.

It’s about understanding what sits underneath the weight, the food noise and the emotional eating finally creating change from the inside out.
