We did it, the end has come. I’d like to say the biggest thank you for all your kind gifts and cards, I will cherish your words forever 🫶🏼🥺 I’ve said from the start of this big change, the job isn’t the hard thing to leave, my time behind a nail desk has ran its course and I’m 100% okay with that. The hard part was leaving you all. Some of which I’ve had for 12+ years, who invited me into your home whilst I was mobile, then followed me to Dundee, then Spoiled and finally up the road to the salon. Some not as long but it doesn’t feel any harder to leave you. We’ve been through everything together, marriages, births, deaths, divorces, global pandemic, kicking cancers arse, new jobs, house moves, general daily life therapy! We’ve laughed, cried, raged and even sang together! We’ve grown up together. I normally like to think I’m okay with words, but right now I don’t think words could ever do you all justice! Your loyalty, and cheerleading for my success but most importantly peace and happiness honestly makes me speechless, I know most of you don’t know each other, but I can assure you that you all have one huge thing in common, your all bloody amazing humans and I will truly miss our time together every month. It was always more than just nails, and I’ll never forget the connections we all made over that nail desk. Thank you for trusting me, thank for your friendship, supporting me and loving me. I love you all so much right back. Don’t be a stranger, connections like we have made last a lifetime ♥️

To some of you this will come as a shock, to others you may not be surprised…
And to be honest, I don’t really know how to say it, so before I ramble on. Here goes….
As of 29th June I will be closing the doors to Shiny Beauty Salon and my self employed career. It’s been a wild ride the past 7 years, Being your own boss has immense advantages but it also comes with a tonne of stress, pressure and financial instability. 13 years as a nail technician is something I’m crazy proud of, I adore being creative and will always have a deep passion for nails. However, it’s time to begin a new chapter in a whole new area - Cheshire is somewhere we have fallen so in love with, supporting our lovely family there and finding peace and comfort after a truly hard few years. A new exciting adventure for me and my wee family, yet close enough to my amazing family and friends up here, I always needed the ability to jump on a train and see their lovely faces 🥰

Anyway, enough about me. I have far too many thank you’s to ever be able to voice them the way you all deserve. Not only have you been my clients, you have turned in to great friends. You’ve listened and supported all whilst providing me a steady wage over the past 7 years. There will never be enough words to show my appreciation, you all hold a very special place in my heart. If I’ve learned anything over the years it’s this: life’s too short, far too short, grab the opportunities and take risks, worry less and love so very hard ♥️
