This afternoon is your last chance to get any appointment requests in before September!!
As of tomorrow I am on annual leave until 2nd Sept !! Back at work on the 3rd Sept.
As usual, from tomorrow, my phone will be switched off and I will be immersed in another culture and there will be no way of contacting me until I am back at work 🤣🤣
My cancellation policy is still in full swing whilst away, I require a minimum of 72hrs notification if you knowingly need to cancel. My cancellation policy is pinned to the top of this page for all to read.
My answer phone is on and obviously you can send messages, I will see them when I get back, you just won’t get a reply until then
So, if I don’t hear from you, I will see you all when I’m back at work ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lots of love 🥰

Did you all get to see the partial eclipse this evening???
Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a total nerd and this is right up my street 🤣🤣
I have been banging on about this for weeks and weeks and brought my solar glasses quite a while ago in preparation 🤣🤣🤣 not adhd much !!
Shared the moment with my family and these two beauties I have the pleasure looking after ❤️❤️❤️
We had the most amazing view, I remember the total eclipse in 1999 and the quiet from the animals, the slight dusk and small temperature drop, all the same this evening. Was really interesting to see how still the horses became and no bird noise or rabbits. They all reappeared once the shadow started to move away … mad !!
Anyway … that’s a talking point for the rest of the week 🤣🤣🤣🤣 going to bore you all to tears 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 true story 🤣
Returning this natural red head back to her glorious colour 🧡
Every redhead I have ever come across has at some point coloured their hair brown or black. This is exactly what this lovely lady did.
Gutted as I forgot a before photo ,we were talking far too much, but she
had spent the last year growing out a black box colour, so it was very dark at around ear level to her ends.
Gentle bleach bathing and a gold gloss and after 2.5 hrs was back to the gorgeous colour she was born with 🧡🧡
Root area untouched, other than the gloss, so there will be no regrowth to worry about.🧡
K18 Hair UK used in every step professional bleach
Matakki Scissors
Color Wow kale cocktail
BaByliss pro tongs
LOVE LOVE LOVE 🧡

HEADLICE ❤️ kind of a speciality of mine and my guilty pleasure 🫣🤣
Don’t forget I have a headlice hoover !!! Exciting 🤣
* 5, 10, 15 minute treatments don’t work. The lotion needs to be on overnight to be effective and even then it will only kill the lice. I recommend using Derbac M.
* All household members need to be treated !
* NO lotions kill the eggs, no matter what they say, these things are prehistoric ! In a freezer they will still hatch, it’s the lice that are vulnerable. After the lotion has been washed out having had at least 12 hrs on the head, soak the hair with vinegar. The acid in the vinegar dissolves the “glue” that holds the egg to the hair. You can then pick them off of every strand to make sure your child is completely clear. A nit comb will usually get the lice but not always the eggs so although it will take a good couple of hours , picking them out with your fingers/nails is the only way to make sure they have completely gone. A re-infection after a few days is not usually a new one, it just means you may have missed a few eggs. Removing eggs/lice is a DAILY job. Day after day until you find no more.
* Conditioner, Coke, mayonnaise, eggs and all the other CRAZY things I have heard in the past do not kill headlice. I know people comb through with conditioner and say it works to rid them and to a degree it absolutely does, but that can take months and months and you are just sending them into school to reinfect other children.
* Bedding needs to be boiled as they can live off of the head for a short period of time.
*Eggs take 6-9 days to hatch and lice can lay 10 eggs a day. They are found close to the scalp . White eggs aren’t dead, they are the empty shell and will grow down with the hair if not removed. Live eggs are brown.
* Lice don’t jump, or fly, they walk and they will travel up and down the length of the hair , particularly if it is long. They do come off on to clothing, which is how they can also travel from person to person and not just close head contact. Tie long hair back as tight as you can.
* Lice will live anywhere there is hair ! A bad infestation can go up noses and in ears and other areas !
* Having an untreated infestation can make you quite poorly. Over a very long period of time it can lead to anemia not to mention sleepless nights and just the generally uncomfortableness kiddies go through.
* LICE PREVENTION- peppermint oil is the strongest and best repellent. Tea tree is good but peppermint is better. It can be brought cheaply from places like home bargains etc.
I use a spray bottle and empty in 2 bottles of peppermint oil then top up with water. I spray this in everyday, right from root to tip and brush through to spread. They go to school smelling like an extra strong mint 😂😂.
* LICE PREVENTION - styling products ! Use serums, mousse, hairspray, gel , whatever works for you. After spraying on the peppermint oil, put on a decent handful of a mousse, serum , gel and rub into the root then brush to distribute. By doing this you are creating a barrier on the hair and the lice cannot physically attach their eggs to the hair. Then put your child’s hair up and hairspray. Repeat this everyday.
On a Friday mine literally have school SCRUBBED out of their hair.
* Just because they have started secondary school don’t think they will be safe ! I have seen more and more teenagers with head lice due to having untreated siblings/family members, including adults.
* Once clear, at least once a week you should be going through their hair with a nit comb to check. when checking you can always see easier around the hairline as the hair is finer. If your child wears a ponytail they will tend to gather at the base of that - a hot spot !! When lice are small they are new. They will also change colour slightly to camouflage into the hair when they have been on for a little while. The scalp can also have little red marks from bites and scratching.
*it can take 4-6 weeks to clear properly.
* They are classed as an infectious disease. As a hairdresser , if I was caught knowingly booking in people or cutting that have live headlice , i could be in a whole world of trouble. Not to mention the cost of the equipment that would have to be thrown away. This is why people are refused hair cuts if they are brought into a salon to rid them of headlice, not because hairdressers are out of order or just being difficult. If we get half way through and find them, that’s different as no one can be left with half a haircut, but if they are found before the service has started , it cannot continue.
If this sort of advice is given by professionals to parents and schools we wouldn’t have the massive issues that we have with headlice today.
