My lovely client returned after 5 weeks—not the ideal maintenance timeframe, but life happens!

The best part? The retention was amazing. 🙌 All 10 gel nails were still on, with only a couple of small chips, and the natural nail growth was fantastic.

Just a Brand New Day 🕸️

This week I practised some nail art on myself, getting ready for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. ❤️

✨ First set of hard gel overlays completed! ✨

So excited to share my very first model set as a new nail tech! 💅 A huge thank you to my lovely model for trusting me with her nails.

We transformed nails that were all different lengths and showing signs of delamination into a beautiful, structured set of short hard gel overlays. These nails now have added strength, support, and protection while still being practical and perfect for everyday wear.

Day 3 of my Glitterbels Hard Gel training 💅✨

Today was all about maintenance, removals and infills – such an important part of keeping natural nails healthy while achieving long-lasting results.

Here's what I learnt today:
✨ Why hard gel is file-off only and cannot be soaked off.
✨ The importance of having hard gel professionally removed.
✨How to safely remove hard gel from the natural nail plate.
✨ How to safely remove a hard gel extension.
✨ How to prep the existing nail product ready for an infill.
✨ How to complete an infill and even change the shape of an extended nail.

A little practice after Day 1 of my nail training! 💅
I decided to do my own nails and focus on perfecting the French manicure technique. It's definitely one of the trickier techniques to master, especially getting every smile line to look the same, but practice makes progress!

I'm really pleased with how they turned out and can't wait to keep improving. 🤍✨

✨ Day 2 at Glitterbels Nail Training! 💅

Day 2 was all about hard gel! I learnt what it is, how it can strengthen and support natural nails, and how it's also used to create beautiful nail extensions.

We also practised nail tip application and hard gel application techniques. So much to take in, but I'm loving learning new skills every day and building my confidence. On to the next! 💖✨

Day One Nail Training ✨

❤️ The first set was a classic plain red gel polish, focusing on neat, even colour application.

🤍 The second set was all about learning different techniques for creating a French manicure. It was a great opportunity to practise precision and improve my skills.
