Friday, 8pm. A client asked to move our call to the evening. My fingers were already typing of course, whatever suits you.

My whole body said no. My calendar kept saying yes.

So I got clear on what I actually wanted my days to look like and started closing everything that didn't match.

Evenings are mine now. Weekends too. My future self makes the calls and I finally listened.

This month I’ve been a guest, an expert, been asked to do a podcast, and this Thursday a speaker, for different events and businesses.

I’ve guided my own clients to create freedom in their businesses, stormed ahead with our business Orgee Pools and Landscaping, had coffees and conversations about business... I’d been thinking September was a wash out, but actually WOW.

Even today I sat with my pal Malvern Hills based made to measure curtains and blinds , chewed the fat about business and came away with ideas.

What I’m realising ( which I’d forgotten and avoided ) more and more is that meaningful conversations happen in person. Outside of this tiny screen, where you can be visible but still massively hiding.

See, I’ve been hiding in full view.

Making excuses not to be in the rooms, to cancel the plans (sorry, it’s a problem I’m working on), to say no to the coffee with the friend.

Because I was scared of people asking what I’m up to.

I DREADED the question “ so what do you do “

See I know things are on the change AGAIN, and I couldn’t be arsed to explain, and honestly I’ve not really known for a long time what the next 6 months looks like and just been floating trying to do it all still.

As we do as super independent women functioning on fumes and a hope and a 🙏

But the conversations I’ve had the last two weeks have massively opened my eyes, again. To real connection. Real honest conversations about where I’m at, where my business is at, and what the plans are for now and next year.

I’ve spoken to soooo many women in the last two weeks who are in chapters of change, scared to be seen, to express that change, to communicate it.

So this is me being honest and vulnerable, for them. Because just like the seasons in nature, we move and grow like autumn bulbs being planted ready for the spring.

And I think this might just be my Spring arriving.
