Someone asked me a while back what the difference is between my file and the electric foot files you can buy online.

Really good question.

Those electric pumice tools are everywhere. Boots, Amazon, TikTok shop. And I get it - they look like they’re doing something. All that dead skin coming off. Must be working, right?

Not quite.

Hard skin forms because your body is protecting itself. Friction, pressure, and rubbing, with aggressive tools - tells your body there’s a threat. So it produces more hard skin to defend itself.

Those electric foot files spin fast and create a lot of friction. Your body feels that. And it responds. Building the hard skin straight back. Sometimes thicker than before.

My Saeyang Cyclone runs at the right speed for skin. Controlled. Precise. It removes hard skin without triggering that defence response.

Which is why your results last so much longer after a professional treatment.

The right tool changes everything.

I’m too embarrassed to let anyone see my feet.”

I hear this all the time and I get it.

But can I let you in on something?

I have never - not once - looked at someone’s feet and thought anything other than how I can help them.

That’s it. That’s all I’m thinking.

9x out of 10 they’re not as bad as you think they are.

And the people who walk through my door most embarrassed? They’re always the ones who can’t believe they waited so long.

Every single time.

So if you’ve been putting off coming because you’re worried what I’ll think…

Don’t let that be the reason stopping you from feeling the relief of having comfortable feet.

“Looking forward to seeing progress as the months go on.”

This is exactly the mindset I love to see! 🙌🏻

Not coming in once and expecting a miracle.

Not a quick fix before the holidays.

Actually committing to looking after their feet long term.

Because here’s the thing - one treatment will make a real difference. But regular appointments? That’s where the magic really happens.

Your feet get better and better each time. The hard skin doesn’t get the chance to build back up. And those deeper cracks? They reduce more and more with every visit until they go completely.

It becomes your thing. Your hour. Something you actually look forward to.

This client also said it was relaxing - and honestly that bit matters just as much to me as the results.

You’re on a heated massage pad, blanket on, music on, hot towels, bespoke oils, a proper foot and leg massage - for an entire hour.

Just you. Being looked after.

Feet sorted AND an hour of proper me-time. Every few weeks.

Honestly - why would you not? 😄

So you’re probably gunna hate me for this but here goes.

Flip flops are crap for our holidays - there I said it 🤣

Flip flops offer zero support. Zero cushioning. And when you’re walking miles more than you normally would - round the resort, into town, along the beach - your feet take a bit of a battering.

All that extra pressure with no support underneath? Hello hard skin. Hello heel pain. Hello coming home with feet that are worse than when you left and an emergency appointment to see me 😬

And then there’s the surfaces around the pool.

Warm, wet, communal areas are a breeding ground for fungal infections, verrucas, and bacteria. Walking barefoot around the pool or changing rooms is one of the easiest ways to pick something up that’ll take months to shift.

So here’s what I’m telling my clients- ditch the flip flops for the walking. Pack a proper supportive sandal for anything more than a stroll to the pool bar 😂

But DO keep a pair of flip flops specifically for poolside and changing rooms. That’s exactly what they’re good for - protecting your feet from the surfaces, not pounding the streets in them.

Your feet carry you through the whole holiday. Look after them and they’ll look after you 👣

Save this for your next trip 👇🏻

I had a client in this morning and I’m still thinking about her now. 🥺

She came in with feet that were burning and painful.

They were always like this

An hour later she walked out completely pain-free.

And do you know what she did?

She said she just wanted to give me a cuddle.

I mean. That right there is the whole reason I do this job.

People come in uncomfortable, self-conscious, fed up with their feet - and they leave feeling like a completely different person. Lighter. Relieved. Happy.

She couldn’t wait to book back in too

That’s the thing about getting your feet properly sorted - not a quick tidy up, not a standard salon pedicure - but actually dealt with properly.

You forget what it feels like to not be in pain.

Until you’re not anymore.

If your feet have been uncomfortable and you’ve just been getting on with it

You don’t have to. Come and see me.

How often should I actually be having a pedicure?”

One of the questions I get asked the most. And honestly - it depends where your feet are at.

If you’ve got hard skin building up, monthly is what keeps it from getting out of hand. Little and often beats waiting until it’s painful.

Got cracks? Also monthly - until they’re gone. Once we’ve cleared them, you may be able to stretch it out longer

Dry skin without cracks or heavy hard skin? That can often be managed well at home, so 2-3 monthly works for a lot of people.

Feet already in good condition? I’ve got clients who come every 6 months and their feet stay lovely.

And if it’s really just about toenail care and general maintenance — every 8 weeks keeps on top of things nicely.

There’s no one answer for everyone. It genuinely depends on your feet, your skin, and what you’re dealing with.

That’s exactly why every appointment starts with a proper consultation — so we can figure out what’s actually right for you.

If you’re a runner - when was the last time you thought about your feet?

Not your trainers. Not your technique. Your actual feet.

Running puts enormous pressure through your feet with every single stride. In the same spots over and over again.

And your body responds exactly the way it’s designed to - by building up hard skin to protect those pressure points.

Which is fine. Until it isn’t.

Hard skin on the balls of your feet and heels can become painful really quickly when you’re logging miles regularly. And if cracks start forming - running on them is not fun at all.

A few things that make it worse for runners specifically:

Moisture. Sweaty feet in trainers for hours creates the perfect environment for skin to break down. Then it dries out and cracks.

Friction. Every step is friction. Without the right socks and shoes - your feet really take a battering.

Neglect. Runners spend loads on trainers and equipment. And almost nothing on the actual feet doing all the work.

The fix isn’t complicated. Regular hard skin removal so it doesn’t build up enough to cause pain. Proper hydration after every run. And getting on top of any cracks before they get deep.

Your feet are doing the hard work. They deserve a bit of attention back.
