Dermaplaning is a gentle exfoliation treatment where a sterile surgical blade is used to carefully remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells, along with fine vellus hair (peach fuzz).

✨ It can help to:
• Remove surface dead skin cells
• Leave the skin feeling smoother and softer
• Create a fresh, brighter-looking complexion
• Help skincare products apply more evenly
• Create a lovely smooth base for makeup 💄

And no… your hair won't grow back thicker or darker! 🙌 The hair grows back with the same characteristics it had before.

Dermaplaning isn't suitable for everyone, which is why a consultation and skin assessment are important before treatment.

✨ HORIZONTAL FOREHEAD LINES ✨

Those horizontal lines across the forehead can become more noticeable when we raise our eyebrows or make certain facial expressions. Over time, repeated muscle movement can also contribute to lines becoming more visible when the face is at rest.

💉 Anti-wrinkle treatment may be an option for some clients, but it isn't suitable for everyone.

This is where a thorough consultation is so important. 👩‍⚕️

Before treatment, I assess your facial movement, muscle activity, individual anatomy and what you're hoping to achieve. We can then discuss whether treatment is appropriate for you and what options are available.

The aim isn't to completely remove every line or stop natural facial movement — it's about creating a treatment plan that's appropriate for your individual face. 💗

Every client is different, and sometimes the safest and most suitable option may be not to treat.

💉 NASOLABIAL & MARIONETTE FILLER 💉

For this client, we took a two-step approach:

💗 1ml cheek filler was used first to add structure and support to the cheek area.

💗 We then used 1ml of filler around the lines surrounding the mouth, including the areas affected by nasolabial and marionette lines.

What I love about this result is that it shows you don't necessarily need large amounts of filler to make a noticeable difference. Small amounts, carefully placed in appropriate areas, can make a big difference to the overall appearance of the face. ✨

It's important to remember that filler isn't simply about "filling a line". Facial structure, proportions, skin quality and the surrounding tissues all need to be considered.

👩‍⚕️ This is why consultation is so important. Every face is different, and the amount and areas treated will depend on your individual anatomy and what is appropriate for you.

If you’re considering treatment, it’s important to remember that it’s not simply about treating a line or wrinkle. Everyone’s face is different, and what may be suitable for one person may not be right for another. 🩷
