Today we’re wishing the biggest Happy Birthday to the lady behind Harmony by Jaye! 🥂🤍

The one who somehow manages to be your hairdresser, therapist, tea maker, confidence booster and professional chatterbox all in one appointment!! 🫣😂

HBJ is so much more than just a salon because Mum has poured so much of herself into creating a space where everyone feels comfortable, welcome and leaves feeling a little bit better than when they walked in.

So today, well, the whole week, the scissors are down and it’s all about her.

Birthday week officially underway 🥂🤍

I’ll be a little quieter on here this week while I switch off, catch up with and spend time with all my favourite people 🤍

There’s something extra special about having family in my chair 🥹💗

A little hair refresh, a good catch up, cuppa tea……and apparently I’m doing alright at this godmother thing too 🤭

I was always told at school that I talked too much…..so, I became a hairdresser 🤍

And while I absolutely love a good chat, I’m also very aware that sometimes life just feels heavy.

So please know, my chair is a safe space. You never need to come in feeling like you have to make conversation or be your usual self.

If what you need that day is a hot cuppa, a little time out and some peace while I do your hair ~ just let me know 🫶🏽

Sometimes the quiet appointments are needed just as much as the chatty ones.

When family book an appointment, it always feels like a little extra hug 🥹🤎

Had my we’re definitely cousins but neither of us actually knows how cousin in today 😂 for a beautiful holiday hair refresh ✨

And YES……this one made me smile 🥰

Because when you support HBJ, you’re actually supporting so much more than just my business 🫶🏽

Opening the salon has given me something I don’t think I fully appreciated until now ~ balance.

I can choose my hours.
I don’t have to worry about Marley being dropped here, there & everywhere or sitting bored while I work ~ He gets to be happy and safe at home.
I can keep on top of the house (and the never-ending laundry 😂)
And after a busy morning of clients, I can stop, have lunch with my boy, then head back into the salon for my afternoon.

Yes, there are toys on, next to & probably behind my sofas,
Yes, he’s probably had a little too much gaming time this summer 🫣

But as a working mum, I’ve managed to keep us both happy, settled and stress-free, while still working and being present.

And honestly, that means more to me than I can explain ❣️

So thank you to every single person who sits in my chair, You’re not just keeping HBJ busy ~ you’re helping me build a life that works for my little family too 🩷

There’s just something about a fresh, blunt bob ✂️🤍

Sharp enough to mean business…..blonde enough to have fun ✨

Not ready to embrace the greys just yet….and that’s absolutely fine 🤍

No full head needed here ~ just a little T-section refresh, with some extra softening around the front hairline where those cheeky whites were making themselves known 👀

Fresh, bright and blended without changing her whole colour ✨

Sometimes you don’t need more hair colour…..you just need it in the right places 🤍

Soooo……she left the salon looking like this ➡️ to spend her birthday at the races looking like THIS 😍✨

Now, normally I’d dress those curls out before she left me… but actually, I LOVE how she’s styled them herself! The bouncy curls with the dress and sunnies just look super cute and so beautiful for her day 🥹🤎
