INSPO VS MY WORK. NO BS. JUST REAL

First things first ..my client LOVED her hair, and that will always be my biggest priority. 🫶 But I also want to use this bridal trial as an educational moment because hair texture changes everything.

The inspo photo was created on a completely different hair type, and this is exactly why consultations and trials are so important.

Courtney has naturally curly hair with a texture that loves to hold frizz, and she also allows her hair to air dry regularly. When you’re creating a smooth, polished upstyle and working against the natural texture, every strand behaves differently. Hair is never one size fits all.

As stylists, we can recreate the look and feel of an inspiration photo, but we also have to respect what the hair in front of us is capable of. Texture, porosity, density, natural movement, previous colour work it all matters.

And this is where honesty comes in and no bu****it.

There is one thing I would change here.. the crown. Courtney has a double crown, and looking back, I know I can refine and improve that area for the wedding day.

No stylist is perfect. Growth comes from recognising where we can do better, learning from it, and making those adjustments.

I will always be honest with my clients. I would much rather under promise and over deliver than promise perfection and miss the mark PERIOD.

Because beautiful bridal hair isn’t about copying a photo it’s about creating the best version of that style for that client’s hair.
