Unbeaten Uckfield Spitfires took on unbeaten Langton Green this weekend coming out on top of a seven-goal thriller at West Park.
The team had a slow start and went two goals down in the opening 15 minutes. However, they responded brilliantly and played some excellent football to level the score at half-time. Spitfires started the second-half strong and upped their defensive game to take a deserved 4-2 lead. The visitors got a very late goal to set up a nervy last couple of minutes, but two fantastic tackles late on saw Spitfires over the line for a thoroughly deserved victory. A great way to head into the cup game at Sevenoaks next week.
As ever, a special thanks to their sponsors for the kits and training gear, CLASS Barbers and Brian Gow Roofing Supplies Ltd 💛
