As part of Pensions Awareness Week, Later Life Ambitions (LLA) has highlighted its Budget for Later Life, setting out 8 key priorities aimed at improving the lives of people in retirement and those planning for later life.

NARPO is proud to be part of Later Life Ambitions, alongside CSPA - Civil Service Pensioners' Alliance and NFOP we represent more than 250,000 older people. Together we are calling for action to help create a more secure dignified future for pensioners.

The proposals include:
*Protecting the State Pension
*Reducing the tax burden on pensions
*Tackling the gender pension gap
*Establishing a minimum income guarantee
*Improving employment opportunities, public transport, housing, health and social care

These measures are designed to help people enjoy greater financial security, independence and wellbeing throughout later life.

Today on National Su***de Prevention Day, Oscar Kilo UK have announced that the Confidential Mental Health Crisis Line has been extended to include all those who who have left policing and are experiencing a mental health crisis or suicidal thoughts.

Flint House Police Rehabilitation is a trusted place of recovery and support for retired officers. As a charity designed with the police service in mind; the care, treatment and support provided is tailored to the policing community. Our teams work with each patient to understand their needs and ensure that the support provided can make a meaningful difference – whether that is physical rehabilitation following an injury, illness or long term condition or mental health support through our group programmes.

We supported over 3,600 patients last year from across the South of the UK but all this is only possible through the kind donations of our supporters.
