A few days ago I shared a little more of my story than I normally would 🤍

But this is the part I really wanted to get to….

One of the biggest things I’ve learnt from building my business is this:

Being good at what you do isn’t enough

You can be incredibly talented at your craft, but building a successful business requires a completely different set of skills.

Resilience. Accountability. Consistency. Self-awareness. People skills. The ability to take feedback, adapt when things aren’t working and actually implement what you learn.

My business has had to pivot more times than I can count but I’ve always found a way forward.

I genuinely believe that one of the biggest reasons my diary is fully booked today isn’t just because I’m good at brows.
It’s because I’ve worked just as hard on the person behind the business.

Your business can only grow as much as you’re willing to aswell 🤍

Diagnosed with dyslexia
Scraped through school
Told in more ways than one that I probably wouldn’t amount to much

But here’s the thing…

Your starting point doesn’t determine your finish line.

This is Part 1 of a story I’ve never really shared before, and it explains why I am the person I am today.

Tomorrow, I’ll share the biggest lesson I’ve learnt from building a business through every challenge life has thrown at me.

None of those things are taught on a beauty course, yet they’re often the reason one artist stays quiet while another has clients who wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else 🙌🏻

Being great at your service gets clients through the door….
But the experience you give them is what keeps them coming back ❤️
