Aliyah came to me after past experiences not being the best and struggling to find a local who did her shade.

The fact that we are in 2026 and there are still
makeup artists not catering to every skin tone
blows my mind. In my opinion it shouldn’t be your profession if you cannot service everyone to the same standard.

Asian and black girls have been my priority recently as I want to be as diverse as possible.
It allows me to grow and develop as a makeup artist🤍

No one should feel not seen, left out or not
treated the same way due to their colour of their skin. MUA’s do better!!!!

A year ago, I would have looked at a booking like this and doubted myself.

This weekend, I got to do the makeup for my first black bride👰🏾‍♀️

Not because I suddenly became fearless, but because I stopped letting fear make my decisions.

There was a time when I would have stayed in the comfort of what I already knew. But growth doesn’t live there. Growth happens when you say yes to the opportunities that make your stomach turn, when you choose to learn instead of hide, and when you accept that you won’t become the artist you dream of being by playing it safe❌

This wasn’t just another bridal booking for me. It was a reminder of how far I’ve come🥹

Over the last year, I’ve invested in education, practised relentlessly, asked questions, made mistakes, and pushed myself into spaces that once intimidated me. Every step has made me a stronger, more versatile artist.

I’ve realised something about myself: if it doesn’t scare me, I probably don’t care enough about it.

Because the dreams that matter should feel a little terrifying. They should challenge you. They should demand more from you than you think you’re capable of.

I don’t want to be average. I don’t want to be comfortable.

I want to be one of the best🤍

And I’m willing to work my hardest for that dream, one face, one lesson, one challenge at a time.

To every client who trusts me, thank you for allowing me to grow alongside you. And to anyone who’s standing on the edge of something that scares them. Just do it.You might just surprise yourself.
