💋 **A little lip filler can do more than enhance the lips…**

When treating **perioral (smoker’s) lines**, it isn’t always about filling the lines themselves.

As we age, the vermilion border of the lip can become less defined and lose structural support. This can contribute to the lip rolling inward and the development or accentuation of vertical lines extending from the lip.

In this case, we used a **small, precise amount of dermal filler along the lip border**, with a subtle amount within the lip itself.

By restoring some definition and support to the **vermilion border**, we can help improve the transition between the lip and surrounding skin, while reducing the tendency for fine perioral lines to become as pronounced.

✨ The result is **subtle lip enhancement, improved definition and softening of the appearance of the smoker’s lines** — without creating an overfilled look.

This is a great example of how understanding **facial anatomy and the structural changes that occur with ageing** allows us to treat the cause and not simply chase individual lines.
