✨ I CAN FINALLY SHARE SOME EXCITING NEWS… ✨

Hey everyone 🤍

I’ve not felt quite like myself for a while, both personally and professionally. Because of that, I’m back getting support from the mental health team and I’m going to work super hard on getting Emma back. 💗

Work-wise, I’ve also felt like something has been missing. After 34+ years in the beauty industry and over 20 years teaching, I have a COPIOUS amount of knowledge in my head that’s literally bursting to get out! 😂

So… I’m incredibly excited to finally announce that…

🎓✨ I’M GOING BACK INTO TEACHING!! ✨🎓

I’ve been asked to teach at a gorgeous PRIVATE beauty training school, specialising in Level 3 & Level 4 Beauty Therapy, the higher levels, where my knowledge, experience and passion really shine.

I didn’t fall out of love with teaching in my previous role; I fell out of love with the FE system. I missed teaching people who genuinely WANT to learn, progress and build a career within this amazing industry.

This opportunity feels completely different and I’m SO excited to get back into a classroom and share everything I’ve learned throughout my career. ❤️

Even better, the qualifications are through VTCT, something that’s really important to me. I’m a huge believer in proper, recognised qualifications and high standards within our industry, rather than quick accreditations that may not provide the knowledge or insurability therapists need long-term.

I’M NOT LEAVING THE SALON!! 😂

I’ll still be there doing what I love and looking after you all. Teaching is simply bringing another part of me back that I didn’t realise I’d missed quite so much.

For the first time in a while, I feel genuinely excited about what’s ahead.

I feel motivated. I feel challenged. And most importantly, I feel like I have purpose again. 💗

Here’s to a new chapter, getting Emma back and doing more of what I absolutely love.

Just a little catch-up from me…

I’m sorry I’ve been pretty distant over the summer. I’ve had Will 50% of the time and, as I don’t have any childcare, I only really have myself to rely on when it comes to juggling being a mum and running my business.

As most self-employed people will understand, if I don’t work, I don’t get paid, so the six-week summer holidays can always be a bit of a juggling act!

But… I wouldn’t change the time I’ve had with Will. We’ve had an amazing summer together and made some lovely memories. 🩵

Just two weeks to go and then my diary will be getting back to normal — and I have LOTS of exciting things coming up at the salon! 👀✨

And it’s not just me… the gym has some VERY exciting plans too!

There’s going to be a little renovation taking place, with a whole new area dedicated to post-exercise recovery treatments and equipment. I’ve been lucky enough to see the plans already and it honestly looks AMAZING! 🙌

I genuinely think these changes are going to make it THE BEST gym in Wigan! 💪🔥

And after being a resident here for 12 years, I might actually have to join myself now! 😂🙌
