We saved her life.

Emergency lip blush removals are best performed asap after the botched lip blush appointment.

It’s a shame this treatment is needed at all but at the same time I’m so glad I can be there for clients who need this.

The colour choice is poor, the saturation is heavy and they’re overlined.

She’ll probably need a second appointment to get what’s above her Cupids bow but overall we are thrilled with this result.

For healed work that you dislike, it can take several sessions to remove but it does work.

The caveat is that- for dark browny healed results.. they need laser first and there’s only a couple of people in the country I recommend anyone goes to.

> Alexandra Mechenici or Jasmine Diebelius for laser removal of any PMU but ESPECIALLY lips. Both Essex based.

Lips are incredibly challenging and complex and we must be so cautious with them.

There’s no good time. You’re never done learning. You can start again at any age. Your friends aren’t your dream client. It all makes sense in your 30s. Time in the game helps. It only needs to make sense to you.

“BROWN OMBRÉ LIPS” let’s talk about them.

Controversial- except I used entirely ethical pigment choices and coverage.

I’d say no to many clients for this request.

Reasons this client got this look.

1. she agreed to let me choose the pigments I’d be willing to work with to try and create the result she wanted - and if it meant I couldn’t get her exactly her goal - she needed to be okay with that

2. She’s a daily make up wearer and wears brown liner DAILY. She wants this look. Everyday.

3. She has a full smooth lip that a soft ombré looks good on. The canvas has to be right for this request.

So I played with my fave Hanafy pigments and created something I’m comfortable with.

I’ve turned clients away for this request before.

And I’m sure I will again.

Pigments - HANAFY red earth / soft beige / rose - combo.

The pigment mix thought process : when creating a pigment mix for any client I take a lot into consideration to come to a decision. I teach this to my students.

This pigment mix combo has few inorganics in it.

Negligible carbon black. Not much TD. And only 1 iron oxide in the soft beige (IO red) and based on the ratios it’s probably 15-18% of the soft beige formula - and I’m only using a little of soft beige. So for the custom mix it could be 5% of the mix.
