This is one people research privately for a long time before asking about it, so here is a straight answer.

Fat dissolving injections use deoxycholic acid, a compound your body already produces, to permanently destroy fat cells in a specific area. Most commonly under the chin and along the jawline.

They are not a weight loss treatment and they will not work on large areas. They are for stubborn pockets that do not shift with diet or exercise.

There is genuine downtime. The area swells noticeably for several days and can feel tender. That is the treatment working, but it is worth planning around.

There are a lot of radiofrequency microneedling devices on the market and they are not all equivalent.

Sylfirm X uses dual wave technology, meaning it can deliver both pulsed and continuous radiofrequency. In practice this allows Dr Emma to treat superficial concerns like pigmentation and redness alongside deeper concerns like laxity and texture, in the same session.

Most devices can do one or the other well. Being able to do both is why the results tend to be more comprehensive and why fewer sessions are usually needed.

The hair grows back thicker and darker. It does not, and it never has.

Vellus hair, the fine soft hair on the face, has no pigment and no coarse structure. Removing it does not change the follicle in any way. It grows back exactly as it was. This is settled biology, not opinion.

What dermaplaning actually does is remove that hair along with the top layer of dead skin cells, using a sterile surgical blade held at a precise angle. The result is skin that is immediately smoother, brighter, and far better at absorbing whatever you put on it afterwards.
