Happy Friday, folks! Wow, it’s been a busy week. I think we’ve killed another washer/dryer - lol! 😂 We’re doing back to back laundry loads all day, every day, so we put the machines through a lot more workload than most households do.

Anyway, a new machine is due to arrive tomorrow and we’re still running in the meantime!

We’re almost fully booked for this bank holiday weekend, just a few openings left in Marlow. But we’re running our usual cancellation waiting list, so if you can’t get an appointment at your preferred time & location, just let us know if you want us to give you a call if we get an opening.

We put the DEEP in deep tissue massage! Ah, but there's more to it than just exerting pressure. The trick is to work through layers of tension, not push through them.

Knots in muscle tissue are often caused by the tiny biological 'ratchets' (sarcomeres) in your muscle fibres failing to fully relax. Massage can help ease the fibres back into a relaxed state.

However, sometimes that knotted feeling can be caused by a muscle carrying a minor injury, and blindly applying a firm pressure can cause the muscle to protect itself by going into spasm - not what we want!

So, even though the guest may be insisting that the therapist goes in hard, the therapist will only apply the pressure that is therapeutically indicated.

Reminder: our Wokingham salon is closed today due to a planned power cut, thanks to SSEN carrying out works. This is affecting a number of businesses in Denmark Street.

Hopefully, these works will be completed on schedule and normal service is due to resume tomorrow as usual!

Aircon board swap in progress! Shout out to airoptionsltd for coming out to help, after a few local firms unprofessionally ghosted us by simply ignoring our messages (if you can’t or won’t do the job, just say so). Guess who gets our business in future?

Our Wokingham salon will be closed 4th August 2026 due to a planned power cut by Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), so that they can connect power to some other building in our area.

We asked if they could do this work outside of business hours and we were told that it was not possible, and that we should look to our "loss of business" clauses in our business insurance! 😕

Anyway, our front desk is reaching out to affected customers with bookings that day. It is possible that power would be restored later in the afternoon, but frankly we don't want to take the chance that it won't be. Better to reschedule now while there are alternative appointments within a few days of the 4th August.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. For those able to travel, our Marlow salon will be open as usual that day.
