Some areas of my work deserve more than a brief mention.

That’s why I’ve created a dedicated space.

Gender-Affirming Laser Worcester is a focused page for transgender and non-binary clients considering gender-affirming laser hair removal in Worcester.

This isn’t a change to the care I provide. It’s simply a clearer home for it—a place where I can share thoughtful, relevant information about facial and body hair reduction, treatment suitability, realistic expectations and what it feels like to begin treatment privately.

Every enquiry, consultation, patch test and treatment will continue to be carried out personally by me at my private, one-to-one clinic on Droitwich Road in Worcester.

Private entrance. No shared waiting room. No assumptions—just informed, individual care at your pace.

If this care is relevant to you, someone you support or your professional work, I’d love you to follow and share the new page:

Most clients first discover my Candela GentleMax Pro Plus because they want laser hair removal.

What often surprises them is what else this technology can do for the skin.

By selecting the appropriate wavelength and treatment settings, I can create a personalised laser facial targeting suitable concerns such as:

🌿 Diffuse redness and visible facial vessels

☀️ Selected sun spots, age spots and benign pigmentation

✨ Fine lines, uneven texture and loss of firmness

Your skin is assessed first. The wavelength, settings and treatment plan are then selected according to your skin type, your concerns and what can be treated safely.

Not every red patch or brown mark is suitable for laser—and I’ll always tell you honestly when it isn’t.

Curious about what the Candela could do for your skin?

Message me with the word SKIN and tell me the concern you’d most like help with.

This is what can happen immediately after targeted laser pigmentation treatment…

Sometimes it gets DARKER before it gets lighter.

This photograph was taken immediately after targeted laser treatment of a suitable benign pigmented lesion.

The darker appearance is not the pigmentation getting worse. It is a response that can occur when laser energy is absorbed by the pigment, creating controlled heat within the targeted area.

Over the following days, the treated pigmentation may remain darker, form a light crust and gradually shed.

It can look dramatic—but it may be an expected part of the process.

The important bit: don’t pick, scratch or scrub it. Follow your aftercare, protect the area from sunlight and allow it to shed naturally.

Not every brown mark is suitable for laser. Each area must be properly assessed first, and anything new, changing or suspicious should be checked by a medical professional before cosmetic treatment is considered.

Have a sun spot or age spot that bothers you?

Message me with the word PIGMENT to find out whether it may be suitable for treatment at WILD in Worcester.

Every day, I meet people who want to feel differently about something that has been bothering them.

Sometimes it’s facial hair caused by PCOS, menopause or another hormonal change.

Sometimes it’s painful shaving rash and recurring ingrown hairs.

Sometimes it’s redness or pigmentation that has affected their confidence for years.

And sometimes, it’s something nobody else would ever notice—but they notice it every single day.

Working in laser has made me realise that confidence isn’t about looking “perfect”.

It’s about feeling free.

Free to wear what you want without planning when to shave.

Free from the soreness and irritation shaving leaves behind.

Free to stop covering your chin or checking it in every mirror.

Free to leave the house without worrying whether somebody else has noticed your skin.

And free to decide that you don’t want treatment at all.

I own a laser clinic, so of course I believe in what I do. But I don’t believe anybody should feel pressured to change themselves to be accepted.

If treatment would help you feel more comfortable in your own skin, I’ll support you with honest advice and a personalised treatment plan.

If it isn’t right for you, I’ll tell you that too.

Because my goal has never been perfection.

It has always been helping people feel more like themselves.

HRT doesn’t automatically mean you can’t have laser hair removal — but hormonal changes can influence your hair growth and the results you may see.

For trans women and transfeminine clients, oestrogen and testosterone-suppressing medication may gradually reduce the thickness and speed of some body-hair growth. Established facial hair often remains, however, and may still respond well to laser treatment when the hair contains enough pigment.

For trans men and transmasculine clients, testosterone can stimulate new or coarser facial and body hair. Laser can be used to reduce unwanted hair in specific areas, but further growth may develop while hormone levels and hair patterns are still changing.

During perimenopause and menopause, changes in oestrogen and androgen balance can sometimes trigger new or coarser facial hair. Laser can treat the dark, coarse hairs currently present, but it cannot prevent hormonal changes from stimulating new hair growth in the future. This is why additional sessions or ongoing maintenance may sometimes be needed.

Your treatment plan will depend on:

• the colour and thickness of your hair
• your skin tone
• the treatment area
• how long you’ve been taking HRT
• whether your hormones or medication are still changing

Every course at WILD begins with a private consultation and patch test, allowing your treatment to be tailored to your skin, hair and individual circumstances.

Why am I trying to get his skin to 40–42°C? 👀

Because with this laser facial, temperature matters.

Using the 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength on my Candela GentleMax Pro Plus, I gradually build controlled heat within the skin while continually monitoring the surface temperature.

The goal isn’t to make the skin as hot as possible. It’s to achieve controlled, even heating that can stimulate a wound-healing response and support collagen remodelling over time.

That’s why you’ll see me with the thermometer throughout the treatment — I’m watching how your skin is responding, not simply following a set of numbers on the laser.

Over a course of treatments, this type of laser skin rejuvenation can help improve the appearance of skin texture, firmness and overall skin quality, with minimal downtime.

Laser is very much my thing… even when there isn’t a hair in sight. 🐆
