My client has the most gorgeous natural silver streak through the front, so instead of covering it we’ve been working with it 🤍

Keeping that natural silver as part of the look, while adding brightness around the face and soft dimension through the rest for a blended, low-maintenance finish.

The start of a journey to embracing her beautiful natural grey 🤍

The goal today wasn’t to touch or cover her natural root — we wanted to leave that completely untouched and start breaking up the old, warmer colour through the lengths, creating a softer transition into her natural silver.

With years of box colour through the ends, this was never going to be a one-session transformation. Today was all about lifting safely, neutralising warmth and beginning that blend while keeping the condition of the hair our priority.

Well, that’s a wrap.

After nearly 8 years at Avant Garde, today was my last day.

I’d just like to say thank you to everyone I’ve worked with over the years and to all of my clients for their continued support. It’s been a huge part of my career, and I’m grateful for everything I’ve learnt during my time there.

Now it’s time for a new chapter.

From Tuesday, I’ll be starting as a self-employed stylist at Escape Hair in Droitwich Spa. It’s also a bit of a full-circle moment, as I’ll be returning to the salon where I first started at 16 and completed my apprenticeship.

I’m looking forward to seeing both familiar and new faces over the coming weeks.
