I’m the biggest preacher (and now hypercrit) when I tell all my clients ‘listen to your body’

Had my stitches out on Thursday, some were stuck which was fun 🥴 felt so much better once they were out and I could relax more as I had a huge fear of ripping my stitches!

Spent the weekend walking Ziggy loads, did a deep clean in the house, re-activated my gym membership and was excited to get back to work on Monday. Woke up Monday morning and my scar was tender, went to work and it was hurting which I expected as I’m using all my upper body but it was fine! Was buzzing to get to the gym after work!!

Got home to get changed and my scar was really swollen and red, when my mum dropped the kids off I got her to have a look at it and I’ve ripped my scar, basically looks like a hole in my back and stuff was coming out of it 🤮

Went to the nurse yesterday to look at it, she’s swobbed it, packed and dressed it for me told me I basically need to go back to how I was after surgery - no lifting my arm, no working etc 😭 I thought f**k that, I’m loosing my mind, need to get back to work and routine!

Woke up this morning and I’m in pain with it again and it’s bled through my dressing 😬 a dressing I’m meant to keep on for a week!

So I have decided I’m going to take a few more days off and we go again Monday 🤞🏾🤞🏾 I’m going to actually rest and get it better properly, I need to or otherwise I will never heal!

Anyone got any good series or films to recommend? I’m on season 8 of Game of Thrones for the 9th time and watched every episode of 24hrs in police custody the past 2 weeks 😆

Hiya everyone!

Just an update…7 days post surgery and I’m not in a good way! I was in ridiculous pain on Monday and Tuesday, found out Tuesday I have an infection where I had my surgery, today it’s even worse and my back is a mess basically!

I had clients book in 10th and 11th before I knew about the operation and then I booked the rest of the week out. I will be cancelling the 10th and the 11th clients unfortunately, as there is no way I’ll be able to use my left arm to massage/facials etc yet, as my stitches aren’t being taken out until Tuesday, this was booked the day I had my surgery but I’ll see what the district nurse says tomorrow and if I’ll still be having them out on Tuesday. My client who’s a nurse seen a photo of it today and thinks it possibly needs re-opening and flushing out 😬

I am however going to offer teeth whitening as that doesn’t require my useless left arm 🫠😂 I’ll take appointments from Monday for those as I’m getting restless in the house, I need to go back to work! Girls (and kids) gotta eat!!

Here’s a photo of Louie drying and ‘styling’ my hair at my work on Tuesday after washing it for me because I can’t do that either 🙄 bless him! He got naggy half way through because he wasn’t drying it how the hairdressers in my work do it and I had to take him to to^st cafe and deli for him to do it 😬😂
