How to make yourself feel old 😂.but very proud to say I’ve been in the Beauty Industry for 30 years this year!

I got made redundant in 1995, I was a manager in retail, loved my job! But clearly wasn’t meant to be..went on holiday with my sister saying ‘what am I going to do now’?

Came home and my mum mentioned why not become a beauty therapist? It took me a few minutes to reply as I fell to the floor laughing ‘who would come to me? I’ve never stepped into a salon before, the ladies behind the boots counter intimidate me!’ Plus I’m a tomboy not very girlie 😂😂

Went to look round York College and like they say..’the rest is history’

Here I am! 30 years on, in my second salon (as I sold my first one due to starting a family) 2 fabulous children, 1 gorgeous grandchild and a very understanding and supportive husband ❤️ this industry has seen me through sickness and health and although it has changed dramatically over the years I still love doing what I do.

I’m not a spa, I am a salon who offer affordable treatments to people who work and struggle to fit themselves in for the essentials or just putting themselves first! I will continue to achieve this to the best of my ability.

There are some changes coming to the salon…so keep an eye out, also we are now on instagram so please follow us to keep updated 🤩

Thank you to all my clients who have been with me the 30 years, 9 years in this shop or are new!

I am so lucky to have you all supporting me, here’s to another, maybe not 30 years, won’t make the stairs 😂 but let’s say many many many more years to come 😁👍🙌🎉
