I’ve merged two different heads of hair into one image to show just how different every starting point can be.
When I assess your hair, I’m not just looking at the length. I’m looking at your hair density, colour, condition, natural movement and, most importantly, what you want to achieve.
That’s why I always recommend a consultation before giving a quote. It allows me to create a bespoke extension plan, so you leave with hair that looks and feels like it’s always been yours 🤍
We ditched the DIY weft… 👀
She walked in and said “don’t judge me…” 😂
My client made herself a DIY weft by taping some clip-in's and old nano's together with sellotape.
And honestly? We had a laugh but genuinely I thought it was brilliant and so creative!
But let's be honest...
We’ve all had those “this’ll do for now” moments.
When your hair just isn’t hairing, you’ll try anything to feel a little more like yourself.
And that’s exactly what she’d done.
Fast forward a few hours… the DIY weft has officially retired and she’s got seamless, blended hair that looks and feels like her own 🤍

Tape extensions pull your hair out because they’re glued in…👀
I hear this all the time!
And honestly… some tape systems are awful. I’ve tried tabs that leave a sticky mess and removers that make taking them out a nightmare.
That’s why I’ve spent years finding the perfect combination of tape tabs and remover!
As you can see in this video, they literally slide out with no tugging because they’re applied, placed and removed properly.
It’s not the tape method that’s usually the problem… it’s who you go to and the products they use.
I got so a lot of love for my new sign and a few of you asked where I got it from... plot twist... I made it myself 😅🤍
Thought I'd show you the chaos behind it because it definitely wasn't giving luxury while I was making it 👀
The dining room looked like a paint lab, I decided to try lime wash for the first time (because apparently I enjoy making life difficult 🥲), and I forgot to film putting
the lights on the back... classic!
Somehow it all came together in the end though ✨

This rebrand means so much more to me than changing a name or a logo.
When I first started this business, it was simply Sam doing hair extensions. Over the years, it has grown into something I could only have dreamed of, thanks to every single one of you who’s sat in my chair, trusted me with your hair, recommended me to your friends, and supported my little business.
As I’ve grown, so has my vision...
I realised I wasn’t just building a business anymore… I was building a brand. One that reflects the experience I want every client to have, the standards I hold myself to, and the future I’m building!
The Hair Extensionist York isn’t just a new name. It’s the beginning of a brand with a much bigger vision behind it.
There are so many ideas, goals and exciting opportunities I’ve been quietly working towards behind the scenes, and this rebrand is the first step into that next chapter.
To everyone who’s been part of my journey so far… thank you. I genuinely wouldn’t be here without you, and I can’t wait to show you what’s still to come.
