Back to another busy week at Eventus Hair! ✨

After taking Friday afternoon and Saturday off last week to rest and recover, I’m finally starting to feel a lot more human again!

I’m nearly all caught up, and I just want to say a huge thank you for all your lovely messages and understanding. And thank you to the girls at the salon for helping ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Looking forward to another busy week in the salon doing what we all love! ✨💕

Sometimes I wish people could see what it really means to be a hairstylist.

Because in one week, we can experience an entire lifetime with our clients.

And somewhere in between all of that, there were laughs, celebrations, exciting news, hard days, new beginnings, and everything in between.

We are often the first to know.

The pregnancy.
The heartbreak.
The loss.
The promotion.
The divorce.
The new relationship.
The diagnosis.
The engagement.
The things they haven’t told anyone else yet.

We sit across from our clients and listen. We celebrate with them. We cry with them. We hold space for them. Sometimes we know what is happening in their lives before their friends and family do.

And the truth is, we see some of our clients more often than we see the people in our own families.

So when someone looks at what we do and thinks, “It’s just hair,” I understand why they might see it that way.

But I don’t.

I know that sometimes we’re not just doing hair.

We’re a safe place.
We’re a shoulder to cry on.
We’re a sounding board.
We’re a cheerleader.
We’re a friend.
We’re a constant in someone’s life through seasons of change.

And somewhere along the way, our clients become family.

I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Not for one second.

To every person who has sat in my chair, trusted me with your hair, your stories, your tears, your celebrations, and the parts of your life that aren’t always easy to talk about—

Thank you.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for letting me grow alongside you.

I hope you know just how grateful I am.

Because being your hairstylist has never been just a job to me.

It’s a privilege. ❤️

Been a little quiet on here because the salon has been crazy, crazy busy 🤍✨

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend and is looking forward to October. 🍂 We are loving the autumn vibes in the salon right now, with so many of you embracing richer tones and going darker for the new season. 🤎

We also hate to mention the word Christmas to early but the girls are getting very busy and Aimee is full make sure you have all your appointments in 🥂🤍

Beautiful week and a week of looking back 🤍✨

Busy week for all the girls this week early starts and late night finishes. Back to reality for many clients schools are back and work starts again. Harry started back on Wednesday and now he is going into his GCSE’s.
A very early start Wednesday then onto London in the afternoon then straight back to the salon Thursday afternoon to make more clients feel amazing.

Our extension stylist will be starting next Friday.

Alyx returns from her holiday on Wednesday and Tracey will also be in the salon next week.
Georgie is also in the salon next week creating more beautiful makeup.

The autumn feel is definitely starting to arrive, bringing all the cosy, beautiful vibes to Eventus Hair.

What a first week for Tracey she’s been kept lovely and busy and has settled in perfectly. Alyx has been fully booked, and Charlotte is back from her holidays feeling refreshed and has been non stop creating beautiful nails.

Still such a proud moment seeing Eventus Hair featured in The Press after being crowned Best Hairdresser in York 2026.

When I opened Eventus Hair, I had a vision of creating a beautiful, welcoming salon in Fulford where clients genuinely love coming and talented self-employed professionals can build their own businesses.

The support we have received has been incredible. From every client who walks through our doors, recommends us, shares our work and voted for us thank you.
