ALHAJI MOHAMMED ALHASSAN URGES YOUTH TO STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS AND CRIME IN EID KAREEM MESSAGE

Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan, National Zabarama Youth Ambassador, has extended warm Eid Kareem greetings to Muslims across Ghana and around the world while using the occasion to call for stronger youth involvement in peacebuilding, discipline and national development.

In his Eid message, Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan congratulated Muslims on the celebration and prayed for peace, unity and prosperity for families and communities across the globe.

He also took the opportunity to advise Ghanaian youth to stay away from drug abuse, criminal activities and all forms of social vices that threaten their future and the development of the country.

According to him, the increasing involvement of some young people in drug-related activities and crime remains a major concern that requires collective action from families, religious leaders, community heads and government institutions.

He emphasized that the youth are the future of Ghana and must channel their energy into education, entrepreneurship, skills development and positive community engagement rather than activities that destroy lives and opportunities.

Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan further encouraged Muslim youth to use the values of sacrifice, patience, discipline and obedience reflected in Eid celebrations as a guide in their daily lives.

He reaffirmed his commitment as National Zabarama Youth Ambassador to continue advocating for youth empowerment, social responsibility and a safer society.

He ended his message by wishing all Muslims across the world a peaceful and blessed Eid Kareem, praying for continued unity, progress and development for Ghana and the global Muslim community.

NATIONAL YOUTH AMBASSADOR CONDEMNS XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS ON GHANAIANS, FOREIGN NATIONALS

The National Youth Ambassador for the Zabarama community, Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan, has strongly condemned recent xenophobic attacks targeting Ghanaians and other foreign nationals, describing them as “dangerous, inhumane, and a threat to regional unity.”

In a statement issued on Friday, Alhaji Alhassan expressed deep concern over the growing incidents of hostility and violence directed at individuals based on their nationality. He stressed that such actions undermine the long-standing values of African solidarity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect among nations.

“Africa’s strength lies in its unity and shared heritage. Targeting people simply because they come from another country is unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms,” he stated.

He called on governments, security agencies, and community leaders across the continent to act swiftly to protect vulnerable populations and ensure that perpetrators of such acts are brought to justice. According to him, failure to address these incidents decisively could escalate tensions and weaken diplomatic ties between countries.

Alhaji Alhassan further urged African youth to reject divisive narratives and instead promote tolerance, understanding, and collaboration across borders.

“Young people must rise above hate and be ambassadors of peace. We cannot allow ignorance and misinformation to destroy the bonds that unite us as Africans,” he added.

He also appealed to regional bodies, including the Economic Community of West African States, to intensify efforts aimed at safeguarding the rights and dignity of citizens living outside their home countries.

The statement comes amid increasing reports of xenophobic incidents in parts of Africa, sparking concern among human rights groups and prompting renewed calls for stronger protections for migrants and foreign nationals.

Alhaji Alhassan reaffirmed his commitment, alongside other youth leaders, to advocate for peace, inclusion, and the protection of all individuals regardless of their nationality.
