Light and shadow are part of the makeup.

Makeup doesn’t exist in isolation, it exists in relation to light.

Every layer, every highlight, every subtle contour changes depending on where the light falls and where the shadow begins. The way light moves across the face is what ultimately reveals its structure.

For me, creating a makeup look is not only about how it looks in the mirror. It’s about understanding how light, shadow, texture and dimension will translate through the camera.

Because sometimes, the makeup isn’t what creates the structure, the light reveals it.
