10 years of doing nails has taught me a LOT… especially about skin health on not just the face but the body too!

Because we can have the skincare routine.
The serums, the spf, the expensive products we swear we’re going to use religiously… and then completely abandon our hands… (guilty)

Cuticles being picked?
Hand cream living permanently at the bottom of your handbag?
SPF stopping conveniently at your wrists? 😂

I say all of this with love because I am absolutely guilty of neglecting things until someone points them out too🙈
But your hands deserve a bit of attention too!!

So consider this your little reminder to:

Moisturise your hands
Use your cuticle oil (multiple times DAILY)
Bring your SPF down onto your hands
Stop picking those poor cuticles 😂
And actually USE the products you bought with such good intentions, they’re no good sitting on a shelf not being used 💓

Because yes, the nails are important…

but the hands underneath them are important too!

Now go and rescue that hand cream from the bottom of your bag (please)

✨ACNE JOURNEY✨

It’s no secret that my passion for skin started with my own struggles. I have battled acne since a teenager but in particular it worsened when I attended beauty college, the product we were using did not agree with my skin at all and my skin reacted in the worst possible way.

Post pregnancy my acne really flared to the point where I wanted to hide, couldn’t wear makeup, had 0 confidence and honestly lost my sence of self worth.

Over the past year since completing more advanced skin & aesthetics training and really diving deep into the root causes and treatment of acne I am now in a position to be treating mainly the scars left behind.

On the left of the above photos you can see the inflammation, redness, severely compromised skin barrier from following ‘TikTok trending skincare’ and overall not a great diet, no sleep schedule and stress.

My skin is nowhere near perfect yet, perfect doesn’t exist but there has been a significant improvement.

Wow!! What a weekend it has been!🥹🥹

We have spent the last 2 days attending two fabulous award ceremonies where we have so proudly been FINALISTS in 16 categories between the two!!

On Sunday, after a busy morning in the Athlone salon for both myself and Sinead we got in our way to limerick to celebrate the thebeautycouncilofireland awards! I myself didn’t take home a trophy this night but I’m sure most of you know being a finalist is all that matters to me, to be recognised is crazy!!

Yesterday night we attended the Best In Beauty Awards Ireland awards and wow, all we can say is WOW!! We soooo proudly came home with FIVE awards between the Sligo & Athlone salons! From Nail salon of the Year, Tanning professional, the DREAM TEAM, Beauty Therapist and one more which I won’t lie I will have to update as Sinead has them on the way to Sligo at the moment and we were just in such shock I lost track of the awards😂🙈🙈

We just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you to every single one of you who show up such love and support every day. Without you there would be no Glamorous, we truly appreciate you.

📢Important Announcement! NEW OPENING HOURS

Coming into effect from 16.09.2026.

As my regulars know I will no longer be doing late night & Sunday appointments from the 16th September onwards, my little girl is now starting primary school and it has always been the plan that once she starts school I will be altering my hours.

For the previous 2.5 years I have worked from 7pm until sometimes as late as 2am and every Saturday & Sunday, it’s now time I sort out my own sleep schedule and spend some time with my family 💓

I will always try my absolute best to accommodate you all but please try book in advance as I am aware many of you will need Saturdays in particular💘
