A farewell message to Sophie.
Sophie has been working with ChildVision for a number of years now, starting out in reading services, moving onto our Pathways programme and now the Social Enterprise Manager of CanDo.
As Gill said Sophie has been incredible to work with, her hardwork, determination and sense of social justice are a testament to the person she is.
It has been an honour to get to work alongside her. She has helped shape us into the team we are today! We will miss her terribly but we are so excited for her and wish her all the best with her new adventure.
Love ~ The CanDo Team

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since I joined the CanDo team. In that year I’ve developed skills around customer service, IT skills, public speaking, soap production and so much more.
For me, the most rewarding part of my role is being able to share these skills with the rest of the team and watch them gain more independence every day in completing new tasks.
I thought with it being a year on since I started with CanDo it would be a good time to show you what I get up to on a typical day!

What a lot of people don’t know is that there has been a tradition of blind heritage craft here at Drumcondra Castle since the 1870’s. By carrying out the work we do, we’re proudly continuing that tradition.
At CanDo, we are proud to be a member of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland. They support and advocate for designers and makers like us and serve as a mark of quality in the products that we make.
When you buy a Made Local product, you are not just supporting an Irish business - you are investing in a piece that’s unique, beautifully-crafted, sustainable, and will stand the test of time.
Happy Friday everyone. Here's a reminder why we do what we do.
