Lately I’ve been thinking about how often we convince ourselves that we know exactly what we need, and then life completely ignores our plans and take us somewhere else😁

At the beginning of this year, I was absolutely certain that this summer would be different. I was going to slow down a little, take on less, spend more time resting and generally become one of those balanced people who seem to have mastered the art of not checking their emails every ten minutes😅

Instead, I found myself involved in opening a new clinic.

If I’m being completely honest, there are moments when I look at my calendar and get frustrated. At the same time, however I have noticed that many of the things I am most grateful for today arrived in exactly the same way.

They appeared when I thought I wanted stability, demanded effort when I thought I needed rest, and pushed me forward at the exact moment I would probably have chosen to stay where I was.

Perhaps that is one of the reasons I find regenerative aesthetics so fascinating.
Patients often come to us believing that they need a tighter jawline, smoother skin or fewer wrinkles and while those concerns are perfectly valid, what we are often really trying to do is restore the conditions that allow the skin to function at its best🙏🏻

We are not fighting against it or forcing it into submission, we are simply providing support and trusting the body’s ability to do what it was designed to do😌

Sometimes I think social media has convinced us that every pore, every line and every tiny imperfection is a problem that needs fixing🫠
