Happy Birthday to the Amazing Melina ❤️
Every now and then, someone arrives in the community almost out of nowhere and gradually becomes part of its fabric. That has certainly been the case with Mélie Na
When Mary first brought her into our world, she did what Mary does so well. Mary is a wonderful Italian lady with such a great instinct for people: she puts the right person in the right place to do the right work, gives them her trust and then allows them to get on with it. Bringing Melina into this team was another wise decision.
Melina didn’t arrive pretending to understand everything she asked the right questions . She stepped back, watched how it worked, listened to the conversations and took the time to understand why this Wella Global Hair Community matters so much to all the people inside it.
I think a real moment came during the Supernatural launch . She saw thousands of hairdressers coming together across different countries, talking learning, questioning, testing and helping to bring a major Wella innovation to life. You could almost see her thinking, “Oh my , this is not just than a Facebook group.”
Since then, she has never stepped back. She has leaned into it so well and she has also allowed the community to know her. She has made real friendships genuinely loved becoming part of this wonderfully wella family.
On a personal level, she is incredibly easy to work with and to work for. She is motivated, dependable and hugely hardworking. She will never be found wanting, which probably explains why we work so well together—and why both of us occasionally need someone to tell us to stop! ✋🏻 😂
Melina, I hope you know how valued you are, not only for what you deliver to this community , but for the warmth, friendship and belief you have brought with you . I am very grateful that Mary brought you into my working life, and I’m excited about everything still ahead of us.
Please fill the comments with birthday wishes and let Melina know what she has brought to our community.
Happy Birthday, Melina. You are very much one of us now, and we are extremely grateful
to have you. ❤️🎂🥂
Always look for evidence, evidence creates the confidence confidence creates the movement, unless you work in the inside out, you can forget about change of real consequence

Getting Ready For a Wonderful day of hair color teaching
I’ve been thinking about this a lot, because let who doesn’t all love the idea of the future version of ourselves. ⭐️
The one with the better body, the better business, the better relationship, the money, the confidence, the life that finally feels like it belongs to us.❤️
And now with AI, vision boards, goals, journals, all of it, you can build that future in your head very quickly. You can see it, write it down, get excited by it, nearly feel it.💴🙏🏻
But then something happens.
Or actually nothing happens. 😢
You start and stop. You get close and pull back. You tell yourself you’re not ready yet, or you need another plan, or another course, another free video another quote or another bit of unearned confidence before you take some action or not take some action 💯
Yet I don’t think that’s always the real problem.
Because wanting the future
is not at all the same as being able to hold it.
There’s another part of you involved I’m afraid
The older part.
The part that remembers rejection.
The part that remembers being laughed at.
The part that remembers not being safe.
The part that learned not to want too much because wanting too much usually led to disappointment.
That part will not care about your plans goals /vision board.
It will not care what ChatGPT helped you create at midnight when you felt inspired.
It will still be asking a much older question.
Is it safe for me to have this
I think the future is a bit like a locked safe.
You can stand in front of it and imagine everything inside.
You can talk about what you’ll do when it opens. You can even convince yourself this is the year.
But if you don’t know the numbers,
it stays locked 🔒 forever
And those numbers are well hidden in the past.
Not because we need to live there,
but because some part of us
is still taking orders from there.
The old shame.
The old fear. The old rejection. The old version of us that decided staying small was safer.
So maybe the work is not just asking, “What do I want?”
Maybe the better question is, “
What part of me still doesn’t feel safe having it?”
Because the future doesn’t open just because you can see it.
It opens when the part of you that was left behind finally feels safe enough to come with you.
Thats the work
And its so important
