Today I feel very grateful.
My son Patrick surprised me with these beautiful flowers and something even more special — he offered me a massage. As many of you know, Patrick is a massage therapist and works with the body every day, helping others feel better. Lately I’ve been spending long hours in the clinic working with my hands, and my hip has been giving me trouble, so this meant more to me than he probably knows.
Sometimes the greatest gifts are not things, but care, presence and kindness.
Being a mother is one of the biggest blessings in my life. Watching your child grow into someone who cares for others is something very special.
