Seventy-five minutes. Facial acupuncture, microcurrent, facial cupping, gua sha. A treatment that sits at the meeting point of Traditional Chinese Medicine, science-backed solutions and non-invasive aesthetics — which is exactly where I've always wanted to work.

Synergy Facial Acupuncture is my signature treatment since 2018 because no single technique does everything. The acupuncture supports circulation and tissue tone. The microcurrent mirrors the body's own electrical signals to encourage cell repair. The cupping clears lymphatic flow. The gua sha works the muscle and fascia. Together they do something none of them does alone.

What people notice most is how they feel when it's over. Calm, rested, as the tension they'd been carrying in their face (and everywhere else) has quietly let go.

Skin health and nervous system health aren't separate. And this treatment doesn't pretend they are.

A course of sessions gives the best results — I'll always be honest about that. If you want to understand what's involved before booking, are curious about facial acupuncture, or are not sure if it's for you, book a free consultation here: https://www.amandanordell.com/free-consultation

Ireland has always had a deep relationship with nature, land, and the rhythms of the seasons. So has Traditional Chinese Medicine — just from the other side of the world.

Different traditions, same instinct: that the body works best when it's supported, not overridden.

Happy St. Patrick's Day ☘️

A few months ago, my microneedling treatments got the best upgrade: SkinPen, a professional microneedling device designed to work with the skin’s natural repair process.

It creates tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin. This doesn’t “force” change — it signals the skin to do what it already knows how to do: repair, rebuild, and strengthen itself over time. That repair response is what supports improvements in texture, tone, and overall skin quality.

What matters with microneedling is control and safety. SkinPen is FDA-cleared, uses sterile single-use cartridges, and allows depth to be adjusted based on your skin, which makes treatments consistent and suitable for all skin tones.

Used thoughtfully, it supports the skin’s own rhythm of recovery rather than pushing it past what it can handle. That’s why it fits well alongside treatments that focus on long-term skin health, not quick fixes.

If you’re new here, welcome.
I’m Amanda — acupuncturist and facial rejuvenation specialist based in Dundrum, Dublin.

I'm a registered acupuncturist with a background in nursing and over two decades of experience working in health and social care.

My work brings together Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, and facial rejuvenation techniques to support skin health, stress levels, and overall wellbeing. I look at the skin as part of the whole picture, not something separate from the rest of the body.

In my Dundrum studio, I offer treatments such as acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, microneedling, buccal massage, and my signature Synergy Facial Acupuncture.

Each session is calm, personalised, and designed to support your body so your skin reflects that balance naturally.

October is a reminder that caring for your mental health matters just as much as caring for your body.

If you’ve been feeling anxious, tired, or out of balance, you’re not alone. These small, steady practices can help support your mind and body connection:

- Pause for a few slow, deep breaths throughout the day.
- Try light acupressure at Yin Tang (between the eyebrows) or An Mian (behind the ear) to calm the nervous system.
- Gentle gua sha or facial massage can release tension held in the jaw and temples.
- Ground yourself — a short walk outside, or simply feeling your feet on the floor.
- Prioritise rest: small habits like reducing screen time before bed really do help.

If you’re carrying the weight of someone else’s pain — your care matters, too. Be gentle with yourself.

Health includes harmony of mind, body, and spirit. If things feel heavy, please talk to someone you trust — a friend, family member, GP, or a mental health professional. You deserve support and care, and reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.
