These nails I did today were a gift for lovely Sinead. She’s been trying to book an appointment with me for ages, but every time something came up, either I was busy, or going away, or Sinead having to go through chemotherapy, and when I heard that, I told her that I’ll gift her a set of nails when she was able to come in and today it finally happened. 😍
The design was a surprise for her, but I knew she liked n**e nails and simple designs, so I went with n**e base and added a little detail just because it’s summer and also why not? ☺️

Apparently these light green/ sage colours will be among the trends for this summer. Here we have a gel manicure with colour and white pearl pigment on top.

When I was doing these nails I wanted to try out two things: I wanted to test new Max base coat and top coat and see how the top coats behaved with pigment. And I was pleased with the result: the nails lasted longer than we anticipated, but unfortunately I didn’t get to see them until it was about 6 weeks in, so I’m guessing they lasted very well their intended 4 weeks wear.
And the second thing I wanted to try out is this deep crystal setting, when I first made a dent in the gel and then filled it in with sparkly gel and Swarovski crystals. I usually use an epoxy glue for crystal setting and they last very well, but in this case I used a base coat and it was my mistake to try something new and have it fail 😅 I’m going to continue using my glue 🤭 But at least the sparkly gel made it look like nothing happened 🤭

Yes they are beautiful and I wanted to show them off, but it was a one and done kind of design because it took me 3 hours (I think 😅). And I could only do it in gel, which you know I looooove ✌🏻😒✌🏻
But anyway, here’s a 3D silk effect for my hand model thank you for your patience and trust (she never knows what she will walk away with 😅)
