The under-eye area is one of the first places the skin starts to thin and one of the hardest to treat well.
Polynucleotides work differently to fillers. Rather than adding volume, they stimulate the skin's own repair process, improving hydration, texture, and the fine crepiness that builds up around the eyes over time. The result is a refreshed look that's entirely yours ,no puffiness, no tell-tale signs. The polynucleotides stimulate your own body's collagen production to essentially thicken up the skin under the eye therefore reducing your unwanted issues with your skin.
It's a treatment I'm seeing brilliant results with at D6Derma, especially for clients who want genuine improvement without anything that looks done.
If your under-eye area is something you've been thinking about, I'd love to have a look and talk through what's possible.

If your skin feels like it's lost its bounce, thinner, duller, slower to recover, polynucleotides might be exactly what it needs.
This is one of my favourite treatments at D6Derma. Derived from purified DNA fragments from salmon or trout, polynucleotides work at a cellular level to stimulate your own collagen and elastin production. No filler, no freezing, just genuine skin regeneration from within.
I use them for fine lines, under-eye crepiness and dark cirlces, acne scarring/scarring and generally tired looking skin. Results build gradually to give you natural healthy looking skin.
If you're curious whether polynucleotides are right for your skin, get in touch to book a consultation at the clinic on Rathgar Road.

Tip Tuesday π‘
If you take antihistamines daily for hayfever, try switching them to the evening.
You'll sleep better, wake with less puffiness/dark circles around the eyes. Also if you're chesty and experience nassal drip with your hayfever, the nighttime irritation eases too.
A small timing change, but your mornings will thank you.

Can you have IPL in summer? βοΈ Yes and here's what I feel you need to know.
The only time I'd pause IPL is if you have a very deep, active tan. Otherwise, those new freckles and patches of pigmentation that appear over summer? They can absolutely be treated safely.
Summer skin is still treatable skin. If pigmentation has been bothering you, there's no need to wait until autumn to do something about it.
Drop me a message if you'd like to chat about whether IPL is right for you.

The single best thing you can do to prevent pigmentation? Shade and every single day, rain or shine. A good hat goes a long way too. βοΈ
In clinic, I take a different approach depending on what's actually causing your pigmentation because not all pigmentation is the same. From targeted home skincare, bespoke chemical peels, IPL, and medical-grade microneedling, there's always a treatment pathway that suits your skin and your lifestyle.
If pigmentation is something you're struggling with, I'd love to help you figure out the right plan. π Link in bio to book a consultation.

Pigmentation usually has a trigger.
Sun exposure can darken pigment. Acne can leave marks long after the spot has settled. Irritation can make uneven tone worse, especially when skin is already reactive.
That's why pigmentation shouldn't be treated as one simple problem.
Depending on the skin, the type of pigment and your treatment history, I may discuss IPL, peels, microneedling or a tailored homecare plan. The aim is never a quick fix ,it's choosing the treatment that fits the cause.
If uneven tone keeps coming back, book a nurse skin consultation at D6Derma. π Link in bio.

Tip Tuesday π
If I could only tell every patient two things, it would be this: wear your SPF every day and use a retinol at night.
These two products do more to prevent premature ageing than almost anything else and they cost a fraction of what people spend on treatments to reverse the damage.
SPF protects against skin cancer, collagen breakdown, and pigmentation.
Retinol stimulates collagen production, speeds up cell turnover, and gradually fades fine lines and pigmentation over time.
Start simple. Stay consistent. Your future skin will thank you.

I may be pale now but you'll be wrinkly later. βοΈ
SPF is the one anti-ageing treatment most people are actually skipping. Every day without it is UV damage your skin is quietly accumulating pigmentation, fine lines and laxity due to collagen breakdown.
And all this will show up years later.
I say this with full awareness as I've celtic skin. The sun changes our DNA, a tan is not good, it is sun damage. Not only does the sun age the skin but causes cancer.
Protecting your skin now is always easier than treating it after. If you want to know where to start, my door is open.

Under-eye polynucleotides are one of the most effective treatments for tired, hollow, or dark under-eyes. Unlike filler, polynucleotides work by stimulating your skin's own regeneration β improving hydration, thickness, and elasticity from within. The result is smoother, brighter, more refreshed skin that looks natural because it is natural.
This treatment is perfect if you're dealing with fine lines, crepey texture, dark circles, or that sunken look that makes you seem tired even when you're not. Most clients see noticeable improvement after just one or two sessions, with results that continue to build over the following weeks.
All treatments carried out by our qualified nurse in a clinical setting. Quick, comfortable, and zero downtime β you can get back to your day straight after.
Book your consultation and find out if polynucleotides are right for you.
