Client feedback that I am working with ..
Hey Ronnie, just wanted to give you a quick update since starting metabolic therapy with you.
The improvement in my Zone 2 running has been really noticeable. Before, I'd typically cover around 10.8 km in an hour, maybe 11 km on a really good day. Today, on the same route, I ran 11.34 km with an average heart rate of just 124 bpm.
I honestly haven't run that kind of distance at such a low level of effort in years. It's great to see everything starting to come together exactly as you explained it would.
Thanks for all your help so far. We're only getting started, but I'm genuinely excited to see where this takes me.
Most people don't have an energy problem.
They have an energy production problem.
Your body can have plenty of calories available, but if your mitochondria can't turn that fuel into ATP efficiently, you'll still feel tired.
That's why simply eating more, drinking more coffee, or relying on stimulants often stops working.
The goal isn't just more fuel.
The goal is better energy production.
Build healthier mitochondria, improve metabolic flexibility, reduce unnecessary inflammation, and support recovery.
When your cells make energy better, your body performs better.
Your brain doesn’t run on willpower. It runs on energy.
Most people think they are lacking motivation.
In reality, the brain may simply be low on energy.
When the brain is not producing or using energy properly, you may notice:
Brain fog
Poor focus
Low motivation
Forgetting names or words
Feeling wired but tired
Before looking for a quick fix, we start with the foundations:
Quality sleep
Stable blood sugar
Regular movement
Enough protein
The right nutrients to support brain energy
When the brain has more energy, focus, motivation and mental clarity can all begin to improve.
The brain does not always need more stimulation.
Sometimes it simply needs better fuel.
Most people don't have a weight problem.
They have an energy problem.
A recent client came to me wanting to lose weight.
Within minutes it became clear the real issue wasn't body fat.
Poor sleep.
Constipation.
Bloating after meals.
Afternoon energy crashes.
No appetite control.
Her metabolism wasn't failing.
It was protecting her.
When the body senses stress, poor digestion, and low energy availability, it doesn't prioritise fat loss.
It prioritises survival.
That's why I don't chase the scales first.
We remove the bottlenecks.
Improve sleep.
Improve digestion.
Improve bile flow.
Restore energy production.
When the body feels safe and efficient again, fat loss becomes the result not the goal.
Fix the physiology first.
The body usually takes care of the rest.
A client came to me feeling constantly tired, struggling to lose weight, and convinced they simply had a "slow metabolism."
They didn't need another extreme diet.
They didn't need more cardio.
They needed to understand why their metabolism had slowed in the first place.
We worked through the foundations:
Better sleep.
Improved digestion.
More stable blood sugar.
Targeted nutritional support.
A gradual return to strength training.
Within a few weeks their energy started to improve. Cravings reduced, training became more productive, and the weight finally began to move in the right direction.
Your metabolism isn't broken.
It's responding to the environment you've created for it.
Fix the signals, support the cells, and the body often starts doing what it was designed to do.
We don't just chase symptoms. We look for the bottleneck that's holding your body back.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that mitochondrial peptides simply give you more energy.
That's not how I look at them.
I look at them as improving the environment in which your cells produce and use energy.
SS-31 helps stabilise the inner mitochondrial membrane, allowing the mitochondria to produce energy in a cleaner and more organised way. Rather than forcing more ATP production, it may reduce energetic waste and improve how efficiently the cell responds to demand.
MOTS-c works differently.
It acts more like a metabolic messenger.
It helps cells respond to exercise, energy stress and changing fuel demands. It encourages the body to become more metabolically flexible rather than simply trying to produce more energy.
Together, these peptides don't replace quality nutrition, good sleep or intelligent training.
They help create a healthier cellular environment where adaptation can occur more efficiently.
When the environment improves, recovery can improve.
Training quality can improve.
Energy becomes more consistent.
The body becomes better at adapting to physical stress.
This is why I don't see SS-31 and MOTS-c as "energy peptides."
I see them as compounds that may reduce energetic chaos and improve the body's ability to adapt.
The goal isn't simply more energy.
The goal is better organised energy.
And that's where real performance and long-term health begin.
CASE STUDY
A CrossFit athlete came to see me with persistent shoulder pain.
He already rested it.
He stretched it.
He strengthened it.
He'd even had treatment elsewhere.
Nothing lasted.
When I assessed him, I wasn't just looking at the shoulder.
I looked at how he moved.
How he loaded.
How he recovered.
And what was happening metabolically behind the scenes.
The shoulder wasn't the real problem.
It was compensating for restrictions elsewhere in the body, while poor recovery and ongoing inflammation meant the tissue never had a chance to fully adapt.
Over the following weeks we combined Structural Therapy with a targeted Metabolic Therapy plan.
Movement improved.
Pain reduced.
Training volume increased.
And he returned to CrossFit without the shoulder constantly flaring up.
Sometimes the painful area isn't the problem.
It's just the area asking for help.
That's why I assess the whole system, not just the symptom.
Metabolic & Structural Therapy
Menopause isn't just about hormones.
It's about metabolism, the brain, the nervous system and recovery.
Brain fog.
Poor sleep.
Night sweats.
Low energy.
Stubborn weight gain.
Mood changes.
These aren't random symptoms.
Your body is telling you that something has changed.
For some women it's hormone fluctuations.
For others it's blood sugar, stress, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, or a nervous system that's been running on empty for years.
This is why I don't believe in looking at hormones in isolation.
I look at the whole picture.
How are you producing energy?
How are you sleeping?
How is your stress response?
How is your nutrition?
How is your recovery?
When we improve the foundations, many women begin to think more clearly, sleep better, recover better and feel like themselves again.
If you're struggling through perimenopause or menopause, don't assume it's something you just have to put up with.
Your body is giving you information.
The right assessment is the first step toward understanding it.
Injury recovery isn't always about one treatment.
It's about putting the right pieces together at the right time.
A recent client came to me three weeks after suffering an Achilles tear.
Instead of focusing only on the injury itself, we approached it from two angles.
Structural Therapy helped restore movement, reduce pain, improve tissue loading, and guide the rehabilitation process week by week.
At the same time, Metabolic Therapy focused on creating the best internal environment for healing through targeted nutrition, supplementation, repair focused protocols, and carefully selected peptides.
As his pain settled, we progressed to heavier isometric loading, then strengthening, and eventually a return to running.
The result?
Within two months, he was back playing football.
This is exactly why I combine Structural Therapy with Metabolic Therapy.
One works on the mechanics.
The other supports the biology.
When you improve both the body's structure and its ability to repair, recovery can become far more efficient than simply waiting for time to do the work.
Every injury and every person is different, but this integrated approach is changing the way I help clients recover and get back doing what they love.

Most people think they get fitter during training.
You don't.
Training is the signal.
Recovery is where your body actually adapts.
That's where you build stronger mitochondria.
That's where you improve resilience.
That's where muscles repair.
That's where your nervous system resets.
If you're constantly pushing but never recovering, you're just adding more stress to a system that's already struggling.
Recovery isn't being lazy.
It's part of the training plan.
