Today, Fire Safety Day was successfully celebrated at Aishwarya Oil and Gas Field. The program was conducted to spread awareness about fire prevention and emergency preparedness among all employees and workers.
This day is dedicated to remembering the courage and supreme sacrifice of 66 firemen who were martyred while extinguishing the devastating fire on the ship SS Fort Stikine at Mumbai Harbour on 14 April 1944.
The theme for Fire Service Week 2026 (14–20 April) is:
“Safe School, Safe Hospital & Fire Safety Aware Society – Together for Fire Prevention.”
