Today, Dillets is heading to Mantwani Primary School to facilitate a menstrual hygiene management workshop because periods should never stand in the way of a girl's confidence, education or dignity.

We are changing the conversation, breaking stigma and creating safe spaces where young girls feel seen, informed and empowered.

Creating period friendly schools and communities.

28/05/2026

Every month, millions of girls in South Africa are forced to miss school simply because they are menstruating.

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, I’m reminded that menstrual health is not just about periods, it’s about dignity, education, confidence, and equal opportunity.

I envision a world where period poverty, stigma, and discrimination are completely eradicated. A world where every girl can manage her cycle safely, privately, and with dignity without shame or limitations.

As the founder of Dillets, I remain committed to playing my part in creating that future.
Because no girl should ever be held back by her period.

Access to menstrual products should never stand in the way of education.

We are proud to announce that Mantwane Primary School will be receiving a meaningful supply of Dillets sanitary pads, supporting learners to manage their periods safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

Every learner deserves to stay in school with confidence, no matter the time of the month. This is one step towards making that a reality.

7 million girls in South Africa stay home from school every month for one reason people rarely talk about.

This World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we want to change that.

Dillets is giving back to schools, NGOs, and children’s homes supporting girls affected by period poverty.

Do you know a deserving:
* School
* NGO
* Children’s Home

Nominate them in the comments or DM us. They could receive a meaningful supply of Dillets sanitary pads.

One nomination could help restore confidence, dignity, and access to education for a young girl in your community.

Let’s work together to help end period poverty.

Winner will be announced on our instagram and page on 28 May 2026.

PCOS is getting a new name after 14 years of global research and over 14,000 survey responses from patients and clinicians worldwide.

The new name: PMOS
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.

The change aims to better reflect the hormonal and metabolic nature of the condition, not just the ovaries alone.

The new terminology will gradually be introduced into medical systems globally, with full implementation in international guidelines expected by 2028.

Attending the BRICS CCI Women Empowerment Annual Summit & Felicitations 2026 in India was truly inspiring. Surrounded by visionary women from around the world, I witnessed the power of leadership, collaboration, and innovation firsthand.

Being named 1st Runner-Up in the Global Women Leadership Program was an honour, but the real reward was the shift in perspective it brought. The insight is simple: design for today, build for tomorrow’s ecosystem. This mindset instired our latest initiative, a token-based sanitary towel dispensing
solution.

Thoughtfully designed, it empowers girls to access menstrual products independently and with dignity while supporting school attendance. Small solutions, lasting impact.

At Dillets, we are committed to nurturing potential, creating opportunity, and elevating lives. When one girl is empowered, the ripple effects are endless.

Women and girls deserve more than uncertainty when it comes to products used on their bodies every month.

Recent findings about chemicals in some sanitary towels have raised serious questions. One truth that matters is that most brands on our shelves are not manufactured locally. They are produced elsewhere and rebranded for sale here, leaving consumers with limited visibility into how they are made.

Dillets sanitary towels are manufactured locally. This means greater oversight, stronger accountability and a commitment to meeting the needs of the women and girls we serve.

Your body is not a testing ground.
Your dignity is not negotiable.
Your safety should never be compromised.

We believe informed women are empowered women. You have the right to know what you use, where it comes from and who stands behind it.

Dillets stands for safe, reliable period care you can trust every month.
