This scene from *Good Newwz* made me smile... because it’s funny.

But if you’ve ever struggled with infertility, you know it’s also painfully real.

The moment people find out you’re trying for a baby...

Suddenly everyone becomes an expert.

*”Relax kar.”*

*”Vacation pe chale jao.”*

*”Itna mat socho.”*

*”Doctor change karo.”*

*”Meri cousin ne ye kiya tha...”*

Everyone has advice.

Very few people ask...

**”Tu theek hai?”**

As someone who battled infertility for 10 years, I can tell you this—

I don’t remember every piece of advice people gave me.

But I do remember how lonely it felt when nobody simply listened.

Sometimes we don’t need another solution.

We don’t need another miracle story.

We don’t need another comparison.

We just need someone to sit next to us and say,

**”I’m here. Tell me how you’re feeling.”**

That’s exactly why I started **About Time**.

A space where women don’t have to explain their pain before they’re allowed to feel it.

A space where we’re not trying to fix each other...

We’re just making sure no one walks this journey alone.

If you’ve ever received unsolicited fertility advice, tell me...

**What’s the one comment you’ll never forget?**

Let’s remind people that listening is sometimes the greatest support we can offer. ❤️

When I heard Kriti Sanon talk about freezing her eggs, my first thought wasn’t...
“Celebrities have it easy.”

It was...

I wish someone had spoken about this when I was in my late 20s.

Not because egg freezing is the right choice for every woman.

But because *having information is.*

When I was building my career, working crazy hours and living life one deadline at a time, fertility wasn’t even on my radar.

Like so many of us, I just assumed that when I wanted a baby... it would happen.

It didn’t.

I was diagnosed with PCOD and Endometriosis.
What followed was a 10-year infertility journey that included medicines, surgeries, IUI, IVF and more heartbreak than I can put into words.

Looking back, I don’t wish I had different luck.

I wish I had more awareness.

Because awareness gives you choices.

Egg freezing isn’t a guarantee of pregnancy, and it’s not something every woman needs or wants. But knowing that it’s an option can help some women make informed decisions about their future.

And that’s exactly why I started *About Time Official*

Not to tell women what they should do.

Not to create fear around fertility.

But to make sure we start having these conversations *before*someone hears the words
I wish I had known earlier.

If this page can help even one woman ask the right questions a little earlier, then it’s doing what it was created to do.

What do you think?

Do you feel egg freezing and fertility preservation should be talked about more openly in India?

Let’s have a conversation. 🤍

People rarely mean to hurt you.

But that doesn’t mean their words don’t.

I don’t even remember all the injections I took during my 10-year infertility journey.

But I remember almost every insensitive comment.

“Bas stress mat lo.”

“Stop thinking about it.”

“Arre, mujhe toh dekh... it happened so easily.”

“You’ll regret wanting a baby so much once you have one.”

People say these things casually and move on.

You carry them for years.

Because when you’re trying so hard to become a mother, every word lands differently.

You’re already questioning yourself.
Your body.
Your hope.
Your future.

The last thing you need is to feel like you’re somehow doing it wrong.

When I started About Time, I promised myself one thing.

No woman should have to feel alone in her pain.

No woman should have to explain why a simple question or a “harmless” comment broke her.

This space isn’t about having all the answers.

It’s about saying, “I get it.”

It’s about listening instead of fixing.

It’s about relating reel life to real life, one womanhood story at a time.

So if someone you love is trying to conceive, you don’t have to say the perfect thing.

Just be there.

Sometimes, “I’m thinking of you” is enough.

And if you’re reading this while navigating infertility...

I see you.

I know how heavy this journey can feel.

And I hope this page reminds you that you never have to carry it alone. ❤️

Sometimes the people going through IVF go quiet.

Not because they don’t care.
Not because they’ve forgotten you.

They’re carrying a battle most people cannot see between hope and heartbreak, appointments and waiting, courage and fear.

If a friend seems distant, give them grace.
Give them space.
And remind them you’re there when they’re ready.

Some battles are fought silently. Support doesn’t always mean asking questions. Sometimes, it means simply staying.

Nobody talks about the men.

The men who sit through appointments.
The men who wait for reports.
The men who quietly carry disappointment after disappointment while pretending they’re okay.

Infertility is often spoken about as a woman’s struggle.

But infertility grief affects men too.

In fact, male factor infertility is involved in nearly half of all infertility cases, yet men are rarely included in the conversation.

For many men, the pain is made heavier by silence. They are expected to stay strong, stay positive, and keep moving forward even when their hearts are breaking too.

This Men’s Mental Health Month, let’s make space for those conversations.

Ask the men in your life how they’re really doing.

And if you’re a man navigating infertility right now, please know this:

We see you.
We hear you.
And at About Time, we’re with you too. ❤️

Drop a ❤️ if you believe infertility conversations should include men.

Nobody sends flowers for a failed IVF cycle.

There is no condolence visit.
No sympathy card.
No one really knows what to say.

But the grief is real.

The grief of another negative result.
The grief of plans that did not work out.
The grief of getting your hopes up, only to start all over again.

And yet, so many women carry this quietly.

If this is your story, please know this:
Your pain is valid.
Your tears are valid.
And your hope is valid too.

At About Time, our vision is simple.

To create a space where infertility, IVF, surrogacy, loss, and motherhood can be talked about openly and honestly.

A space where no one feels alone in their journey to parenthood.

Because some of the hardest battles are the ones nobody can see.

❤️ If this resonates with you, share it with someone who needs to hear this today.

Things nobody prepares you for when you’re struggling to conceive.

Googling “implantation symptoms” at 2am even though you promised yourself you wouldn’t.

The way a pregnancy announcement from someone who “wasn’t even trying” can knock the wind out of you.

Rearranging your whole personality around a two-week window every month.

Smiling through baby showers like your insides aren’t caving in.

The specific loneliness of a grief that has no name, no funeral, no flowers.

Explaining to your mother-in-law — again — that it’s “not stress” and no, a holiday won’t fix it.

The way IVF becomes a full-time job that you never applied for and cannot quit.

Loving your partner through something that tests both of you in ways you never expected.

Quietly wondering if it’s your fault, even when every doctor says it isn’t.

And through all of it still showing up. Still hoping. Still trying.

That kind of strength doesn’t have a name either. But it should.

In India alone, 27.5 million couples are in the middle of this journey right now. Most of them in silence. Most of them told to “just relax.”

You deserve more than that. You deserve to be seen.

Some couples lose years because nobody thought to test the man.

Male infertility contributes to nearly 40 to 50% of infertility cases, yet it is still one of the most ignored conversations in fertility journeys. One of the biggest reasons? “But he already has kids.” What many people do not realise is that s***m count and s***m quality can change over time because of age, stress, lifestyle, smoking, health conditions, medications, and even environmental factors. Having children before does not guarantee fertility now.

This scene from the movie A Copenhagen Love Story captures that reality painfully well. The film shows how fertility struggles affect both partners emotionally, mentally, and physically, including the difficult conversations around s***m count and testing that so many couples avoid for far too long. Infertility is not just a women’s issue.

The men need to be checked too.

Infertility doesn’t hit all at once.
It comes in phases you don’t even realise you’re moving through.

At first, it’s denial.
You start listing the “pros” of not having a child.
More freedom. More time. A different kind of life.

You convince yourself you’ll be okay. That this could work too.

But slowly it settles in.
What you might be missing.
What you had always imagined.

And still, you hold on
to timelines, to plans, to the version of life you thought was certain.

Then comes the part no one really talks about.
When hope doesn’t feel as strong anymore, but it hasn’t left either.
When you’re not in denial but you’re not at peace.

And eventually something shifts.
Not closure. Not acceptance in the way people think.
Just a quieter understanding that this is your reality.

An acceptance you never asked for.
But one you learn to carry anyway.

If you’re somewhere in between all of this
trying to make sense of it, trying to stay strong, trying to just get through
you’re not alone.
