Leaving the house every day is NOT the definition of success.
Even today, women are judged by a strange social standard.
She leaves the house every day?
“She must be working.”
She stays at home?
“She must not be doing anything.”
But perhaps it’s time we understand that where a woman works and how valuable her work is are two completely different things.
Today, a woman can sit at home and work for a company in another city, another state, or even another country.
She can manage international clients from her living room.
She can work on projects across three different countries.
She can attend meetings online.
She can build her own business.
She can earn through her skills.
And you may never see her leave the house for work.
So please, stop measuring a woman’s success by how often she steps outside her home.
And to all the women reading this—
You do not owe everyone an explanation.
Where you are going.
Why you are going.
Who you are meeting.
How much you earn.
Why you work from home.
Why you chose a different lifestyle.
You don't have to answer every question just to make other people comfortable.
Your life does not need a public justificat jiion.
Working from home isn't “doing nothing.”
Staying at home isn't “being unsuccessful.”
And leaving home every day isn't proof of independence.
Independence is having the freedom to decide how, where and for whom you work — without constantly having to prove your worth to the world.
So let women live.
Let women work.
Let women choose.
And most importantly—
Let women stop explaining themselves.
