Our Garima Grihs and Pink Centres are safe, welcoming spaces where children can simply enjoy being children.

This Thursday at Garima Grih, Kirti Nagar was very special!

From yoga and storytelling to laughter and learning, the children spent a joyful day with Room to Read India exploring stories of friendship and life.

The day ended with a wholesome meal of rajma rice, along with discussion about healthy eating and nutrition.

Just another day of learning, laughter, and growing together.

Period Positivity Starts with Open Conversations

PVR NEST and Unicharm India came together to launch Delhi’s largest community-led Period Positivity Campaign, supporting women and girls across 35 urban slum communities in Delhi where menstrual myths, stigma, and access gaps continue to persist.

The campaign was launched with a symbolic Red Dot ceremony and community women shared their experiences and pledged to challenge menstrual myths, while the Unicharm India team shared inspiring messages on period positivity.

Over the coming months, the initiative will train PVR NEST team members as Master Trainers and engage women, girls, and boys to encourage better community health.

Summer holidays are here, and what better time to discover the joy of reading!

Together with our partner Room to Read, we launched our Summer Reading Campaign for children across our community centres.

Our first session was held today at Pink Centre, Vikaspuri, with 30 children from neighbouring communities. From listening to stories with wide-eyed excitement to drawing their reflections and reciting poems, the children loved every minute of the session.

A big thank you to Mr. Akash and Mr. Shadab from Room to Read for making the session so engaging and memorable.

The summer joy continues every Tuesday and Thursday throughout June at our all centres in Delhi.

Some conversations can quietly change lives.

We are grateful to the and its wonderful team, Ms. Ankita Mukherjee, Mr. Anuj Tiwari, Ms. Manju Rani, and Ms. Mansi Rawat, for conducting a Menstrual Health & Hygiene awareness session at our Garima Grih centre, Kirti Nagar with over 50 community women and girls.

In communities where periods are often surrounded by silence and stigma, the session created a safe and open space for women to share their stories & break taboos

From conversations to the distribution of menstrual cups and pain relief roll-ons, the initiative was a step towards dignity, confidence, and healthier futures

Waste doesn’t end with disposal, it begins with awareness!

This week, PVR NEST’s skilling and WASH cohorts including community women came together for an engaging Waste Management Workshop with Roundglass Foundation. Through interactive conversations on waste segregation, composting, and building community champions, the session turned everyday actions into meaningful lessons for change.

A heartfelt thank you to Neeru Khanna, Kahkashan Wanchoo and Raj Kishor for bringing such warmth, practical knowledge, and inspiration to our communities.

Because when communities learn together, cleaner and stronger neighborhoods follow.

Across 35 urban slum communities in Delhi, our 11 centres, including Garima Grihs and Pink Centres, are often the first place migrant women and families turn to for support, especially when the lack of identity documents keeps them excluded from essential services.

That’s why setting up a Common Service Centre has been such a meaningful step.

We are deeply grateful to Digital Empowerment Foundation for partnering with us to establish a CSC at our Garima Grih in Kirti Nagar, training our teams, and supporting us throughout this journey.

On May 1, we had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Osama Manzar, Founder & Director- DEF, whose commitment to digital inclusion continues to create opportunities for those often left behind.

It was truly inspiring to see Mr. Manzar spend time with our CSC team and meet community women who have now been able to get their Aadhaar cards, access ABHA health IDs, and take their first steps into formal systems.
