Bally Arushi

02/10/2026: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, our students participated in a sit-and-draw competition in a wonderful inclusive setup.

The competition was organized by the Vidyarup Foundation, Makhla, at the Makhla High School ground.

We are sincerely grateful to Mrs. Mousumi Ganguly ma'am for giving this opportunity to our students.

দীপাবলির দিয়া

স্বনির্ভরতার লক্ষ্যে বিশেষ ভাবে সক্ষম ছেলে মেয়েদের নিয়ে আমাদের "বালি আরুষি সোস্যাল ওয়েলফেয়ার সোসাইটি"র কেন্দ্রে দুর্গা পুজো এবং দীপাবলির আগে প্রদীপ এবং মোমবাতি তৈরির কর্মসূচি চলে প্রতিবছর। পূজোর সময় সকলে যখন ঘোরাফেরা, কেনাকাটায় ব্যস্ত থাকে, তখন ওরা রং তুলি, সোয় ওয়াক্স, সুতো নিয়ে ব্যস্ত থাকে নিজেদের কাজ করতে, ঠিক সময়ে কাজ শেষ করে সকলের কাছে ওদের তৈরি করা প্রদীপ যাতে পৌঁছে দিতে পারে। গত কয়েক বছর থেকে শুরু হওয়া এই কর্মসূচিতে সামিল হয়েছে ভোকেশনাল ইউনিটের ভিন্ন ভাবে সক্ষম ছেলে মেয়েরা। যাদের মধ্যে কারো কারো রয়েছে অটিজম, কেউবা সেরিব্রাল পলসিতে আক্রান্ত আবার কারো ডাউন সিনড্রোম এর মত প্রতিবন্ধকতা, কারোবা রয়েছে বুদ্ধির বিকাশের সমস্যা। কিন্তু সকলের মধ্যেই রয়েছে জীবন যুদ্ধে জয়ী হওয়ার মানসিকতা। ওরা সকলে নিজের হাতে প্রদীপ রঙ করে, মোমবাতি তৈরি করে এবং তারপর নিজেরাই সেগুলো বিক্রি করে অনাবিল আনন্দ পায়। আর আমাদের লক্ষ্য সমাজের মূল স্রোতে ফিরিয়ে এনে ওদের ভালো রাখা।

🪔 Diwali Diyas & Candles Made with Love ❤️
Every year, before Durga Puja and Diwali, Bally Arushi Social Welfare Society organises a special diya and candle-making programme at our centre with our differently abled children and young adults, with the aim of encouraging self-reliance and independence.
While everyone is busy shopping and enjoying the festive season, our children are busy with colours, brushes, wax and threads. They work with great enthusiasm and dedication so that their handmade diyas and candles are ready in time to reach your homes during the festive season.
Over the past few years, the differently abled members of our Vocational Unit have been actively participating in this initiative. Some of them are on the autism spectrum, some have cerebral palsy, some have Down syndrome, while others face intellectual and developmental challenges. But what unites them all is their strong determination to overcome challenges and move forward in life.
They lovingly paint each diya, make candles with their own hands and then take great joy in selling their creations themselves. Every purchase is not just a product bought—it is an encouragement towards their confidence, dignity and self-reliance.
Our goal is to support them, nurture their abilities and help them become a meaningful part of the mainstream of society.

Yesterday two of our beneficiaries participated in a Ramp show 'Pank Inclusivity Walk 2026' organised by Valley of Smiles, at Naihati Oikatan Manch. it was really a pleasure watching them perform... From concepualising to executing such an event was really a commendable task ... our beneficiaries got a platform to showcase their hidden talent of which we were unaware of... each and every participant gave their best performances.. heartiest congratulations to all the participants

Today our students participated in an Inter-school sports meet organised by Apex Club of Bally... all gave their best performance... many of them got positions for their performances....

3rd December International Day of Persons with Disabilitie celebrated at Bally Arushi. A small program was organised, an Awareness Program along with cultural programme by our students and guardians was organised...
