Sheetal began her journey in hair and beauty at a time when the industry was still finding its footing. While carrying her daughter, she was already building something far greater than a business — she was shaping a legacy.
She nurtured both, side by side. A child and a craft.
From an early age, her daughter, Gayatri Brown, was introduced to the world that would one day become her own — learning to hold a pair of scissors, to thread, to style, and to understand the discipline and artistry behind the work. By the age of fourteen, this was no longer unfamiliar ground, but second nature.
In an era before mobile phones and social media, Sheetal made a bold and uncommon decision — sending her young daughter abroad to learn, to grow, and to see the world beyond what was known. It was a risk taken with courage and conviction.
She established her own salon in the heart of Lokhandwala Complex — long before it became what it is today. Entering a then-uncertain industry in a developing neighborhood required instinct, resilience, and belief. Nearly four decades later, her presence there stands not just as longevity, but as a milestone.
Today, that legacy continues.
With her mother’s blessings and foundation, Gayatri Brown has reimagined and reintroduced the brand in a new space —The Brown Studio, carrying forward the values, the discipline, and the spirit that began it all.
