Chandrakala Ras has tonic properties with cooling effects. It is recommended in summer to protect oneself from torturing effect of Sun from within and also externally. It is effective in fevers of Pitta origin, feeling of internal burning, excessive thirst, hyperhydrosis, hypertension, weakness of heart, anger, giddiness, unconsciousness, hematemesis, dysurea, anemia, jaundice and in women advocated for leucorrhoea and menorrhagia.
