I went for a trek to strike some meaningful conversations with myself , to just be.
It was a slippery, muddy road uphill as the hills,were still wet from a night of rain. On the way up, I spotted them - Yes !! the bright, red, flame-like blooms of rhododendrons.

This unexpected sight of the whole hill breaking into red intensified something in me, and magnetically pulled me forward, motivating the climb.
I went straight on the trail toward Triund Trek. The blooms felt otherworldly. Almost heavenly. Like a child, I was scampering around, almost awestruck.
Because i was not carrying any fancy photography gear, just my phone. I looked for vantage points, veered toward smaller side treks, chasing the energy of these flowers.

All around me was the sight of mighty snow-clad mountains, the bells of mules somewhere on the slope, and scores of buttery butterflies, light as the spirit of the air itself.

Also, in this detour, I spotted a house with a board outside: "We are meditating. Do not disturb". I sat nearby , knew this was my place but took utmost care not to make a swish of sound .

In the stillness, I thought about the flowers & how that red, the red of rhododendrons, mirrors the red of a monk's robe, so common in the hills around Dharamshala. 🤩
A splash of red off the branches, visible from a distance, over the slopes.The conversations I had gone looking for ,finally. they arrived gently though, on the way. 🌺

Back at the café, I reflected over my ginger lemon tea, and enjoyed the view in peace.

And calmly welcomed as they came.😊

🌸Getting Unstuck 🌸





Began drafting this post while stuck in a Traffic Jam! My city of dwelling has witnessed major road cave ins and waterlogging due to torrential rains past weekend. There is only one route that is now operational connecting us with the capital city of Chandigarh.

Waiting for traffic to move, I thought about calling Mom but my own self heard myself saying this to so many friends “Don’t call me when You are stuck in Traffic!! “ 😊
So instead , due to very professional thinking algorithm – I started the “Unstuck conversations with my own Mind “

1. Will I reach home today?
2. Who are these people? Wow!! There are so many people in the world!
3. Read for nth time- “Objects in the mirror appear closer than they Appear “ –Does this apply in real life too ?
4. What am I doing in Life?
5. What has happened to my Mountain Hiking plan?

Between all this I started thinking about How the galaxies may or may not align, the Universe may or may not conspire, The Traffic lights may or may not be green at the same time , Good are the Pros – better may or may not be Cons !! Feeling unsure and lost is also part of the process!!

Let me not check the watch again! Let me just do what the clock does!! Let me just Keep going!! Do what is supposed to be done & is important at the moment ⏱️
I reached home safe !

Wearing humble , Light & Breathable saree with big chequered boxes. The fabric is light to the point of transparent and the uncut blouse piece with triangular print peeks through the chequered saree print enhancing the geometrical disposition of the attire. I have paired it up with Polka dots blouse which gives very retro-bollywood accents to the drape.



I wore it on the hot & humid , Friday of June this past week. The air was 100% saturated with moisture so much so, it weighed down the leaves and twigs too. There was a sweaty, stillness of dampened human spirit & practically zero movement in the atmosphere. By the time we went out to click pictures – we were surprised by few breezy encounters with air. At that very moment, I spotted the crest of a peafowl in bushes across the road. As if it caught my sight to augur “Rains anytime soon !!” And it rained same night & has been raining since 🌧🌧
Hearing the thud of rain droplets hitting our roof , I felt happy for saving my white saree from mud stains by wearing it on a non rainy day & happier for “The Rains that have finally arrived”. 🌧

🪷While the parts change, the whole always remain the same. Nothing remains the same yet nothing ever really changes !!

So Dance through Love & Pain,Dance in Joy and Grief,Dance Alone and Dance in Company -Dance as the dots are changing constantly but the Circle remains intact !!🪷
















🪷Wore this sheer Handwoven Muslin Jamdaani Saree to attend Pooja – Kirtan ceremony at Friend’s home yesterday.

Unlike the Kirtans , I attended as a child with my grandparents ,this new age Bhajan ceremony was a different experience . After paying obeisance to the picture of revered teacher , I made an eye contact with my friend to greet her through thick of people.
We all were made to sit in a very neat, air conditioned hall, Prasad & Water bottles were served by the catering unit and eulogies in name of God – the bhajans were played on the music system with best sound system.
The spiritual component of the gathering was good and I saw few heads swooning more with every new prayer played on the music system. The digital invocation of devotion was spotless , functional and comfortable yet I missed little moments of joy attending kirtans - looking out for my favorite Dafli & the joy I experienced the day I got it to jam with kirtan mandli , the human touch to songs – expression of singers & community & the sweet hunger of prashad after the prayers. If not the joy , I came back home with nostalgia of my childhood spent in Gita Bhawan & Ram Leela Ground in my hometown attending these gatherings with hardly any awareness then that I will miss those moments so much retrospectively.

About saree – I felt like a doll honestly, wearing this saree in beautiful peachy pink color . Be it the color, the flair , the sheen & sheerness of the fabric – I actually felt like a little girl, twirling around the pallu to admire the prettiness of it. I bought this saree directly from the weaver. Inbox me if you want the same .

Many of you asked me the purpose of my recent sabbatical to the Himalayas. How (come) + When ( this happened)+ Why (you didn’t tell me) + What (about kids) + Who (inspired you)
I was not really sure on how to answer and to begin with even if I would want to answer or not. It took me almost a month to gather a few words & string a few sentences to describe this profound experience life chose for me.🤗😇
Home bound during Covid , I studied about Yoga Psychotherapy & perused Psychoanalytic tools used in modern medicine.
During one of my travels to Rishikesh- I stumbled upon some unpublished ancient texts describing the impact of Yoga on Human Psychology at a bookstore. I was fascinated by the wholesomeness of our Vedic scriptures & somewhere subconsciously the “ Yogic “seed got incepted in my being.🧘🕉️
In April 2022, I left home to pursue my dream of learning Yoga & the spirit of incorporating it in my practice. For a month , I lived in Sivananda Kutir, Netala - A
beautiful ashram surrounded by quaint himalayas, idyllic villages, roaring bhagirathi river – all wrapped in crisp mountain air & lush green of chirpine & rhododendron forest.🏔️🌲🌄
My only intention at start was to imbibe teachings of Raja Yoga –However I was not really aware if that I have signed up myself for something bigger.For a person I was - Picking up Yoga mat was a daunting task is now A Yoga shiromani 🕉️. Being addressed as Yogini Radha fills up my being with gratitude which manages to resonate chords of exhilaration I felt years ago earning the title of Doctor after my M.B.B.S.😇
💛Bonding with fellow seekers on this unique soul realization path has anchored me to my core.” We” Different -from different age groups, cultures, and upbringing were united by one common passion - YOGA. Everything & Everyone foreign became familiar !! .🧘
. ☀Friends will often joke - Month already , You are still in Uttarkashi ? And I dotingly reply – This is the price I willingly have chosen to pay for the richness of knowing , loving and loved back by people from more than one place. 💛💓

I started beauty blogging actively in 2014 & moved my blog from blogger to wordpress . All I did while expecting Miska, my second born, was - Read & Imagine !! I explored various genres which in retro now surprise & amuse me to bewilderment & self assuring inner conversations .
Reading was followed by writing !! Since I was doing beauty videos at YouTube - I started blogging about & overall.
I grew up in a Woman majority household !!! Grandmothers, Aunts - Maternal & Paternal , Sisters and Sister in laws , My Mom - All of them influenced me in my becoming - my feminity & my humanity.
Dressing , Cooking & Beauty were ritualistically discussed as women folklore at home. Self Love as care for your own self in harmless ways possible was Mantra my dadi inducted in me. She was beauty enthusiast , my little big eyes would wide watch her rubbing Cinnamon on her lips followed by Ratanjot for enhancing lip color. Smell of her Mul Dupattas , Touch of her parandi & sweetness of Rose gulkand in her breath still freshen up my senses .
To my childhood grooming, I always wanted to make my own skincare which I do now !! With my career as Psychologist , I spend hours on desk - decoding human psyche while inventing new psycho-therapeutic techniques every day .
I somehow miss activity on my beauty blog page. I have not been to blog about my own skincare and didn't publish anything on website too.So hereby , I seek your support & participation .Join me & let's keep this group growing.

✨Answering one of the questions asked for Q & A, I conducted in my stories -
How to parent your child to be brave ? I think that being brave means to stand up by your own side , for yourself - for your dream or your passion. Being true to yourself is an act of supreme bravery.
When Miska chose to paraglide at the tender age of 6 , it was her courage that she followed her heart and At the same time when Moesha denied to paraglide despite everyone else pressing her to do so esp after the achievement of her younger sister - It's an act of bravery too !! as she listened to her heart.She mustered up tremendous courage to resist the outside pressure .Miska fought brave with her notorious motion sickness and feat doing something which was beyond our imagination 🌟
Brave is what we decide for ourselves. As a parent , I always encourage my daughters to just be loyal to themselves first . Regardless of what others may think or believe - they should seek their strength inwards always ✨
