This journey has never been just about hair but about taking something that saved me in one of the darkest moments of my life and turning it into a career, a brand and a future.

Sometimes I look at where I started and where I am today, and I still can’t believe the journey.
I was a kid who left home and crossed the desert searching for a better life. In Libya, I was sold by slave traders for money and went through experiences I never imagined I would survive. In a life-or-death situation, I picked up barbering as a way to survive
started cutting hair for my captors with almost nothing but just a comb 🪮 and a razor blade attached to it.
I always imagined that the same hands that learned to cut hair in one of the darkest chapters of my life would one day be be in the midst of such great minds and around great people, , working with some of the biggest names in fashion and around the world but never did I think it would be this quick.

This Fashion Week, I had the privilege of being Alton Mason’s personal barber, taking care of his hair, hairline and grooming throughout his time in Milan from shows to events and after-parties.

But beyond the shows, the cameras and the names, one of the things I will carry with me from this experience is the person I got to know behind the name Alton.

Bro has shown me an incredible level of love, respect and genuine support of my work and talent. The beautiful words, the encouragement, listening to my ideas my dreams and sharing his beautiful thoughts, these mean more to me than I can properly even explain coming from where I came from, having someone like him believe in what I’m building is something I will never forget.

From a comb and a razor blade in Libya…

To working with great minds!
From cutting hair to survive…
To building a career doing what I love.

This is bigger than barbering. This is my life story.
