BUT… here’s what I wish every bride knew before she books: that flawless, poreless, glass-skin look in your saved photo isn’t a face, it’s a filter. Real skin (yours included) has texture. That’s not something to fix, it’s something to work with.
My job isn’t to recreate a photo. It’s to translate the feeling behind it onto your actual face, so you look like the most elevated version of you on your wedding day, not an edited stranger.

By the time I’m doing your makeup, your skin has already told me the story of your last three months.
I can spot a bride who’s been product hopping in the countdown before I even open my kit.
The redness.
The patchiness.
The flare up she’s desperately trying to conceal with more product, which only makes it worse.
11 years in the bridal industry taught me something most brides don’t hear until it’s too late: your wedding day skin gets decided months before I ever touch a brush.
Not by a miracle serum the week of. By the boring, consistent stuff you did (or didn’t) do months out.
So here’s my rule for every bride I work with. Nothing new in the final month. FULL STOP.
Whatever your skin already knows and trusts is what stays in rotation until the “I do.”

Your bridal look is YOURS. Not what Pinterest says it should be, not what a “how a bride should look” reel told you last week, not what some influencer said the “right” technique is.
There’s so much noise out there about what bridal makeup should look like:
How many layers you need for it to “photograph better,”
How much product it takes to survive your reception,
What it should look like up close versus through a camera lens..
I need you to hear this from someone who’s tested it over and over, on 250+ real brides, in Jamaica’s heat: half of that noise just isn’t true.
Light layers photograph beautifully. I’ve proven that time again. Piling on more product doesn’t make dimensions show up better, and it doesn’t make your makeup last longer either.
What actually gives you longevity is being intentional with every single layer, knowing exactly what your skin needs and stopping there.
So please don’t let anyone convince you your bridal makeup has to be heavy to hold up. It doesn’t. The most beautiful, longest lasting bridal looks I’ve ever done have always been the lightest.

Nobody plans for the moment your cousin decides to show up “a little late,” or your flower girl needs a diaper change five minutes before photos.
