urauraのお客様に頭皮ケアを施し続けて約7か月が経ちました。

たくさんのお客様と変化や気づきを共有できることを、とても嬉しく思っています。

頭皮は季節や湿度、体調、生活習慣など、
さまざまなことの影響を受けます。

だからこそ、
お店でのケアだけでなく、
ご自宅での小さな積み重ねもとても大切だと感じています。

毎日でなくても大丈夫。

1分でも、
ご自身の頭皮に触れる時間を持つこと。

その積み重ねが、
未来の髪や頭皮に繋がっていくと思っています。

urauraでは、
どうしたら無理なく続けられるか、
どうしたら誰も置いていかないケアになるかを考えながら、
日々取り組んでいます。

今の季節は湿度や暑さでこもりやすい時期。

頭皮も気持ちも軽やかに。

そして何より頭皮ケアはゴールではなく、
これから先もご自身の髪を楽しむための土台づくりだと思っています。

日本に帰国したタイミングでご来店くださるお客様。

限られた滞在期間の中でも、その後の日常でできるだけスタイリングが楽になるように、ハンドブローだけでも形が整うことを意識してカットを設計しています。

今回は顔まわりにしっかりレイヤーを入れたいというご希望でした。

レイヤーはただ短く切ればいいわけではなく、クセや毛流れ、髪の重なり方を読みながら、どこに落ちて、どこにボリュームが生まれるのかを予測しながら作っていきます。

私はまず、ご来店時の乾いた状態の髪を見てベースカットをします。

彫刻でいうと、大きな塊から少しずつ形を削り出していくような作業。

ハサミを入れるたびに髪は反応し、流れや重なり方を見せてくれます。

その変化を見ながら、細部を見つめる目と、全体を引いて見る目を行き来しながら少しずつ形を整えていきます。

最終的な長さやバランスは感性で決める部分もありますが、そこへたどり着くまでにはたくさんの要素を見ています。

顔の輪郭、頭の形、首から肩へのライン、立ったときの全身のバランス。

そして日常の動きの中で髪がどう揺れ、どう落ちるのか。

風が吹いたとき。
下を向いたとき。
ふと歩き出したとき。

そんな瞬間まで想像しながら、長さやラインを決めています。

髪が自然に動いたときに、その人らしく見えること。

私がカットで目指しているのは、そんなヘアスタイルです。

(for English-speaking guests)

uraura is a place where hair and time are gently shaped to feel true to you.

This menu is for first-time English-speaking guests visiting uraura.

Session Cut — ¥15,000 (tax not included)

This session includes haircut only.
(Color, perm, and treatments are not included.)

My journey as a hairstylist began in New York,
where I studied and worked in salons before becoming a stylist.

Through the years I have worked with people from many different cultures, hair textures, and styles.

Now at uraura in Japan, I bring together everything I have learned through those experiences.

🌿 What is a Session Cut?

For me, a session is not only a conversation between stylist and client.

While cutting, I am also in dialogue with your

• hair
• scalp
• bone structure
• natural growth patterns

Each person carries a unique story in their hair.

The texture, movement, and shape of your hair are often something that has been passed down through generations — qualities that belong only to you.

As I cut, I listen to those natural qualities,
respect what is already there,
and shape a style that connects your past, present, and the future of your hair.

This is what I call a Session Cut.

It is not only about cutting hair.

It is a moment to slow down,
connect with your hair,
and discover what feels natural and true for you.

🌿 About the name “uraura”

The name uraura comes from an old Japanese word in Yamato Kotoba, traditional Japanese language.

It describes the gentle warmth of spring sunlight — calm, soft, and peaceful.

I chose to write it in Roman letters to reflect the meeting of Japanese sensibility and an international spirit.

My hope is that uraura can be a place where people share a quiet moment together — something that exists only here.

🌿 Booking at uraura

At uraura, time is treated with care.

uraura is a one-person private salon.
To keep the atmosphere calm and fair for everyone, I use a slightly unique booking system.

Appointments are arranged by request.

Please send:

• your preferred date
• Morning / Afternoon / Anytime
• your desired menu
• up to 3 options if possible

Appointment requests are accepted up to two months in advance.

After checking the schedule, I will send a confirmation email about one month before your visit once your appointment is secured.

Last-minute openings will be shared on Instagram.
