A platform to help women navigate the transition of perimenopause and menopause. ✨️Age positivity ✨️

09/05/2026

In 2024 during our Positive Aging Campaign with we held candid conversations with our featured women regarding Menopause.

This conversation with resonated so much. She reflects on a conversation she had with her mother about menopause...one she's grateful she didn't postpone.

For most of our mothers, Menopause wasn't understood and barely discussed. It was endured in silence, misinterpreted, and even judged. She was transitioning without language, perhaps support and even knowledge and awareness.

This Mother's Day is a reminder to have the conversation with your mother, because in most cases it also informs how your menopause journey goes too.

Ask. Listen. Understand. 💜
For our mothers 🌸
For ourselves 💖
And for and the women coming after us. 💛✨️

✨️“We’re not just one thing—we are many things.”✨️

As we age, let’s embrace the journey - all the wins and challenges that shape who we are and who we’re becoming.

Going through perimenopause and menopause brings us face to face with a changing body, a changing face, changing health circumstances, and even a changing mind. We start to see the evidence of aging.

But aging is not just something that happens to us only in midlife. We age from the moment we are born❗️

And yet, it seems the term “aging" is saved for women over 40 and 50 to make us feel like we are past our prime.

I’ll admit—I used to buy into that thinking. I looked at my body and saw changes I wasn’t prepared for. The weight gain, dry skin, wrinkles, thinning hair...And the messaging around “aging” and “changing” was not helping.

Is this experience and narrative of aging the reason why some women resist the idea of perimenopause or menopause⁉️

I find women say – “oh no, I’m not there yet.” Upon further probing, the evidence is there.

But here’s the thing: what if we start by reframing this narrative about aging for ourselves?

Aging is just another word for living! 💃🏽

I know I want to keep living with energy and vibrancy. That means focusing on my health and well-being and things that truly bring me joy.

Moving my body, nourishing it well, detoxing, creating space for rest and self-care, paying attention to what I let into my mind, and putting myself in rooms that lift me up. 🙌🏾

As we step into a new month, let’s remember that every day we wake up is a new start.

Growing older is a privilege that not everyone gets.

Let’s show ourselves acceptance, grace, and gratitude for every stage we are in. ✨️

I’m choosing to live with energy, vibrancy, and radical self-acceptance. What about you?

“Is this really me?” I thought as I looked at myself in the mirror.

I remember feeling heavy in more ways than one—like I was carrying an invisible burden I couldn’t name.

I was in my 40s and my body was changing in ways I couldn't explain. I had always been active. As a trained fitness instructor with good nutrition knowledge and habits, I thought I could exercise my way through anything.

I was battling unexplained weight gain, especially belly fat. I was constantly exhausted. Mood swings hit me hard, and anxiety and overwhelm became my new reality. I developed sugar cravings and used wine to cope, convincing myself that these little indulgences were deserved after long, stressful days running my business.

I started withdrawing from social activities, because the effort to show up felt like too much. I hid behind loose clothing. I was burning out, physically and emotionally, but I couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

It wasn't until 2020, with my business on pause, that I stumbled upon the truth. One word would change my life - Menopause!

I finally connected the dots. A consultation with a menopause educator and doctor confirmed what I had now suspected—I had been in menopause for years. In fact, I even went through premature menopause a decade earlier than the average age, without proper guidance or support.

That revelation was a turning point. I realized I wasn’t the only one blindsided by the changes menopause brings.

I created “Fab-u-las Living”, a knowledge and awareness platform to end menopause shame, stigma and suffering. I want women who are struggling through the transition to know that you are not crazy and you are not alone. These changes are normal—and with the right tools, we can embrace this phase and thrive.

As a Menopause Coach, I now help women overcome overwhelm, manage stress, sleep better, regain energy, lose weight, and feel like themselves again.

We deserve to live vibrant, fulfilling lives, even in this new phase. Menopause is not the end—it’s the beginning of a powerful new chapter. 💃🏾

Two years ago, this list had 34 symptoms related to menopause. Today, it's been updated to 54.

This shows the range of changes one can experience due to the decline of estrogen and progesterone in our bodies. We are not saying you will experience all of them either.

Every woman has her own individual journey. Understanding the breadth of this experience can help you identify some of what you may be experiencing.

If you are struggling, know that you are not alone. You are not going crazy. With the right help and support, you can get through this transition.
