South Sudan has officially been included among 21 African countries whose citizens can enter Tanzania without a visa, according to the Tanzanian Immigration Services Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Under the new policy, South Sudanese travelers will receive a Visitor's Pass upon arrival allowing them to stay in Tanzania for up to 90 days without completing visa formalities before departure.

The visa-free list also includes Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, DR Congo, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and several other African nations.

Headline: JUDICIAL ACCOUNTABILITY OR POLITICAL TARGETING? THE VERDICT IS IN FOR JULIUS MALEMA

Today marks a seismic shift in South Africa's political landscape. The East London Regional Court has officially handed down a five-year direct imprisonment sentence to EFF leader Julius Malema following his conviction on five firearm-related counts.

How the Court Handled the 5 Counts:

Magistrate Twanet Olivier rejected the defense's argument that the weapon used at the 2018 Mdantsane rally was a "toy gun." Instead, the court found that the state meticulously proved through witness and ballistics evidence that Malema knowingly discharged a live firearm in a public space.

The charges—ranging from unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition to reckless endangerment—carried a potential maximum of 15 years. While Malema's bodyguard was acquitted, the Magistrate ruled that Malema, as a high-profile leader, bore a significant responsibility to uphold the law.
What Happens Next?

Malema remains defiant, with his legal team preparing an immediate appeal to the higher courts. This appeal process means he may not go to prison immediately, but his status as an MP and his political future now hang in the balance ahead of the 2026 local government elections.

South Sudanese must pay attention. If we remain silent about questionable digital payment systems, we risk being scammed through policies we don’t understand. Transparency and accountability must come first for the people of South Sudan. 🇸🇸
