Stop treating your beard like the hair on your head.

What happens when you consistently wash your beard with head shampoo or regular body soap? The results are usually "pretty high"—but not in a good way.

Most soaps are designed to aggressively strip away oils. On your scalp, that’s fine. On your face? It’s a disaster.

The Breakdown:

🌵 Dry, brittle hair (think straw, not silk)

📉 Increased breakage and split ends

❄️ "Beardruff" (itchy, flaky skin)

⚠️ Beard acne from overcompensated oil production

The Fix: Your beard is coarser and your facial skin is more sensitive. Consistency deserves the right tools. Use a dedicated beard wash to clean without stripping your natural sebum.
Your beard will always reflect how you treat it. Treat it well.

NOTE: When skin becomes overly dry from harsh soaps, the body sometimes overcompensates by producing excess oil, which clogs pores and leads to breakouts. This is a "hidden" side effect many people don't realize!

Just an oil that feeds the skin, strengthens the beard and rewards consistency.

Beard is hair.
Beards is culture.

Beard is singular.
Beards is identity.

Beard is a look.
Beards is a lifestyle.

Beard is personal.
Beards is a whole tribe.

One beard. Many Beards.

Like how A "beardsman" can refer to a man who takes pride in growing and caring for his beard, a specific type of modern man with a stylish beard!

How to Use Beard Oil

1. Cleanse First
Wash your beard and the skin underneath with warm /cold water and wash (Uniwash)

2. Pat Dry (But Keep It Damp)
Towel-dry your beard until it's slightly damp — not soaking, not bone dry.

3. Apply the Oil
Dispense a few drops of beard oil into your palms (2–6 drops depending on beard length). Rub your hands together to evenly spread the oil.

4. Massage Thoroughly
Gently massage the oil into your skin beneath the beard, then work it through the entire beard, from roots to tips.

Pro Tip:
The best time to apply beard oil is right after a shower or after washing your face, when your skin is clean and your pores are open. This helps maximize absorption and nourishment.

In my early barbering days, my fades were honestly weak. I still remember being shocked when a client came back and booked me again, because in my mind, that was not my best work.

To mask my weak fade game, I focused on making my line-ups as crisp as possible. I used to think, “Okay, the fade might not be perfect, but if the line-up is sleek, the client will leave satisfied.”

Those were my dark days, I must admit.😁

These days though? The fade is clean, the line-up is sharp, and the whole cut is delivered as a complete package, something to behold, like a piece of art.

Blackwood Beard Oil was my first-ever product to hit the market.
I can’t even count how many times I’ve tweaked its formula to get it to where it is today.

When it first dropped, my very first clients called it “so dope.” It was sunny season then — perfect.
But when the cold season rolled in, we hit a snag. The oil would solidify because I had loaded it with extra virgin coconut oil. Clients had to warm it up before use, which was a hassle, and yes, I lost some potential first-timers because of that.

Fast forward to now:
Blackwood is a heavyweight. Perfect for guys with fuller cheek growth, it locks in moisture for hours. Its scent? Citrus-earthy perfection.

This product taught me a lesson: you can’t slack. You’ve got to keep refining, keep improving.
Naysayers talk, but the people who use Blackwood know it’s top-shelf stuff.

And here’s what makes it even more special:
The name Blackwood comes from it's key ingredients, Black from Black Castor, Wood from Cedarwood.
Every drop carries that meaning… and that’s why you get exactly what you deserve.

PRO TIP: When selecting beard oil, here’s a quick breakdown of what to consider:

1. Scent – Do you prefer bold (e.g. cedarwood) or subtle (e.g. unscented, light citrus)? Match it to your personality and daily environment (work, social settings, etc.).

2. Consistency - Thicker oils provide heavier moisture (great for coarse or long beards), while lighter oils absorb quickly (ideal for short beards or oily skin).

3. Ingredients – Look for natural carrier oils (sweet almond, grapeseed) and avoid harsh synthetic oils, they are of no nutritional value to your skin.

Bonus: If you’re new to beard oils, start with a small bottle to test how your skin and beard react.

If you're in that patchy phase right now, trust me, you're not alone. Almost every bearded man has been there—wondering if it'll ever fill in. But as the saying goes, a great beard is worth the wait.

Give it time. With patience and consistent grooming, your beard will improve. Each time you visit your barber, let them know you're growing it out. That way, they’ll avoid cutting too deep into your cheekline or neckline—just light cleanups to keep things neat.

Daily care is essential.
✅ Wash regularly with a good beard wash.
✅ Moisturize with oil.
✅ Add a butter for extra nourishment.
✅ Comb or brush to train and style.

Over time, this builds a stronger, fuller beard.

But remember—genetics play a major role. Some grow beards faster. Some start earlier. Others may never grow a full one. If yours is meant to grow, it will. Beard products don’t create beards—they help you maximize what you already have.

TL;DR
Time, patience, consistent care, and the right genes—that's the right formula.
